Thanks again, Bogol ...

OMG, I just realized that my brass track is also more than twenty years old !!! ...  :o

The time goes by much too fast ...  8}

I really appreciate the time you have taken to tell all of us about the LGB nickel plated track.

You have saved me (and maybe some others) from having to experiment with it.

I think that I am very happy with the brass track. And, again, thanks to you, i do not need to give any more thought as to whether or not I might want to use the nickel plated track.

All the best und danke,
Richard

Hi All

I am still in two minds about the new track, I didnt realize that it was just plated.

I am also a member of the LGB Club so will check out their website tonight and see what they are saying about the new track.

As I will be starting afresh I would like to make sure I am going in the right direction and getting the best that my money can buy.

So the main points to think about are
1. Is it more realistic
2. Is it more conductive
3. Does it need less cleaning
4 Is it going to flake off over a period of time as Bogol states there is a worn piece showing the brass underneath.
5. Will LGB stop making the brass track at some point in the future.

Regards
Craig

Hi Richard

And so far 50 viewings and only the first reply. You would think that some rep from LGB would have left a comment. I even added the questions I placed on this web site.

Hi Richard and all

Great news Mr Jonathan Meador who is the product manager of LGB of America has replied I have given him this link. So hopefully a man of his knowledge will be able to answer all our questions

Kind regards

One guy replied to all my questions after he had visited this site. And basically said that the track is more realistic, needs less cleaning, is better conducting, they will continue making brass track for the foreseeable future. And also stated that it dosent flake.. As he kindly pointed out to me as was mentioned earlier in this thread it was just a worn piece. Also that as there is only 70 people on this web site it is not very big. I havent bothered going back on the site since
