5936 Horse Riders
« on: March 06, 2011, 00:03:56 »
This will be a review of the small set 5936, currently available at Toys R Us and Playmobilusa.com for $9.95.
This is a great set for the price, and a well priced set. With horses from DS being $2.25 and klickies $2.60 plus you are definitely getting your money's worth. Especially if you can find it on sale.

The set has a piece of ground with a tree, rock, and plant. A little bit of scenery and a nice simple baseplate that can be used in all sorts of places.

It has two horses. The tan Palomino type horse is a new one. The previous horse of this color had white socks on the legs and this is plain. Both have tack and a saddle. The saddles are the old Western style.

The male figure is pretty typical outdoors type similar to those in the Forest series. It is a new figure though.

While the guy is just a regular klicky the woman in the set is a standout.
She has a great patterned vest, an interesting hairstyle, and detailed boots. I think this boot style with the painted detail may have been used once before? It is certainly different and looks great. The shirt color is also interesting and helps pull the whole outfit together.

As I said, it's a great set and I think a great value, especially with the interesting female figure.

That's it for this review.

wow! I really like the woman... but the guy looks so weird with eyebrows!

I have other eyebrow klickys, but the brown eyebrows with the red hair looks all wrong!

I don't think the red is his natural hair color...
