My best guess is they were trying to break up the monotony of all white robes - wasn't monotonous to me though!

They could have done that with Poseido, right?  It was ridiculous.

(I would still love to find that purple klicky in numbers, cheap. Or the legs. Can you say "purple legion"?  )

Here's a different – if pretty basic – take on Artemis.

Out at night dressed like that? She will catch her death. She should put a vest on. And some boots.
At that moment the ship suddenly stopped rocking and swaying, the engine pitch settled down to a gentle hum. 'Hey Ford.' said Zaphod, 'that sounds good. Have you worked out the controls on this boat?' 'No,' said Ford, 'I just stopped fiddling with them.' (With thanks to Douglas Adams)

Thanks for your words of appreciation!

Yeah, Poseidon was kinda cheap. At least he didn't have a fish tail, though.

Mind you, she's an Olympian! It's not like she's gonna stub her toe on a branch.  ;)

Are you saying she'll be Diana cold? <:>

That was well-played!

THAT was my problem with him.  Well, and being a repeat of Zeus.

Meaning you would have rather had a fish-tailed Poseidon? That'd have made for a good Triton too if one were to expand their pantheon.

YES! A gorgeous greenish (NOT pink or blue!) mertail!

He would be awesome. Like this (though a pretty klicky), he's just a shameless copy of Zeus. :(

Saint George

Inspired by this illustration by Peter Dennis, I decided to create a custom Saint George as a III-IV century Roman soldier, rather than the stereotypical armoured knight depiction. (All external links lead to imgur; click pictures to enlarge them)

This version of St George dons a lorica squamata, puttees, and a ridge helmet.

Since I could not seem to find any alligator to pit against him, the clichéd dragon will have to do.
