I set up a small display at a local Library here in St. Louis, Mo., USA.  It will be there all November.

Wow this looks nice. A really good cross-section of Playmobil.
Very suitable the take-along castle; fits quite well into such kind of display.

It does indeed look good, just the sort of cross-section of the range to catch youngsters' interest (and maybe the history teacher's interest, too!).

Very cool set up! I'd love to have a display like this to look at. 8-)

You can ship the contents of that cabinet over to me when the library are finished with it. ;)

Thanks for sharing the news and the photo with us, Donmobil. :)

Hello, Don ...

I set up a small display at a local Library here in St. Louis, Mo., USA.  It will be there all November.

Great display! You should be decorating toy store windows!
(I would bet that your displays would increase Playmobil sales in the States!)

Thanks for sharing.

All the best,
Richard

My thanks to all who have commented.  this is my small bit in getting more people to see the magic in Playmobil collecting and gaming.  I would have liked it better if I became aware of PM when all the kool sets were out.  It seems that PM's best sets have all been discontinued, such as the western theme with all the buildings and accessories, as well as the medieval houses and shops.  I would also liked to have been able to buy soldier klickies to do Napaleonic battles.  Thus far, I must be content with Romans and ACW.  Also doing more of the classic Medieval soldiers.

It looks really good, Don.  I have to get off my butt and see it.

I don't know whether older sets seem dearer because they are no longer available, but I also feel a bit like we missed the golden age.

... but I also feel a bit like we missed the golden age.

You did, Tim ...  :P

But, look at it this way ... You can always get the "golden goodies" on eBay ... And, perhaps even more important, you'll be around a lot longer to enjoy them than those of us who were there for the "Golden Age" ...  ;)

All the best you young whipper-snapper,
Richard

What a great display.

I would love to walk into my Library and see a display like that.  8-)

To all who read and enjoy my Library Display, please contact your local Library and see if they have a locked community display case.  Inquire if you could set up a display.  Just look and ask...
