Maybe its one of the other foreign playmobil companies....after all not, all boxes are included in the catalogue as the sets tend to repeat themselves...

 hello playmo1989.
:hmm: this set is indeed a mistery.
it doesn´t show in axel hennel 3.rd edition of playmobil collector - it is not a trol, estrela, mattel, schaper, lyra or famobil.
8} what intrigues me the most is the way water is "built" underneath the boat - with a very amateur-looking plastic foil.
the angle from where the picture of the boat was taken is also unique - higher than any other version i know.
:) the only thing i can gather from the "playmobil" logo style is that it was produced between 1980 and 1991...

So it might have been produced for a single year and then they changed the box again???

Well spotted playmo1989.

That box is a mystery, it's the first time I have ever seen 3550 ship come in a portrait style box than the normal landscape image.

If the figures are all genuine it must be from the early 80's because of their fixed hands probably no later than 1984.

I have a 1985 catalogue and it shows a normal style box with the pirates all having twisty hands in the image.
