Flowers for 5300
« on: June 12, 2010, 15:18:08 »
I want to order some new flowers for my 5300 and wondered if anyone knew how many I should order (i.e. how many come on the sprue and how many lots of sprue I should order)
I've looked on PlaymoDB and although it says how many window boxes etc. it doesn't say how many flowers.  I could count the stems and multiply them by six but I still don't know how many on the sprue and if each sprue is sold individually - I don't want to end up with thousands of flowers!  8}

From what I can remember flowers come on sprues of 6

So if there are 6 flowers per plant, and three plants per windowbox then that is a lot of flowers 8}

8 per sprue and you only need quote the part number once! ;D

As flatcat noted, the flower bunches each have 6 stems for flowers and each flowerbox holds 3 bunches.

So there's 18 single flower blossoms needed per flowerbox.

Just counted my victorian mansion flower boxes...Sylvia is correct...18 single flowers per flowerbox... by 10 flowerboxes that makes it 180 sinlge flowers.... :omg: :omg: :omg: I have never counted them before!!!

 Oh, you will also need another twelve sinlge flowers for the two flower urns...(six flowers each)

Thanks for that!
I'd forgotten the flower urns,  :-[ I have steps from the conservatory also so  that's an extra two - and I'd forgotten the extension floor too!  :doh:
I'll get my calculator out... 8}
so that's [(6x3) x 10] + [(6x3) x 8] + (4x6) = 348 divided by 8 (didn't realise keyboards didn't have a division sign) which = 44 sprues of flowers which means 15 of each colour.  :(o):
Was thinking of extending the house but don't think I'll bother!

So does each part number = 1 sprue of 8 flowers?

I do not have the instructions with me...(i've stored all of them at my old bed room in my parent's house, slowly rearranging my playmoden so hopefully i'll bringt them at my home one day) but yes as I can recall, you are correct...

Someone who can see their instructions for a second opinion please?

...to answer my own last question...it been a year after all...

I see now that each flower has its own number... Its still not clear to me if each part number coresponds to a single flower or to a sprue of flowers... but my guess is the first one: part number=single flower.

I have ordered flowers from DS here in the US, and they sell them individually.  I don't know what they do elsewhere, so Elaine maybe someone from the UK answer this for you.  ;)
Let us know how you make out.  ;D
