Playmobil Theme Park ...
« on: January 22, 2006, 17:49:19 »
Hello, PlaymoFriends ...

I didn't know exactly where to put this ...
So, it's definitely OK with me if a moderator wants to move it ... :)

I spotted this miniature Playmobil theme park over at PlayClicks and thought that those who had not seen this very interesting display by Victor Hernandez Arcediano (aka Paco Alverez), might enjoy seeing it ... :)

Don't miss the Ski-Lift, the Paddlewheeler, the Nautilus, the LGB Toy Train with the Playmobil Electric Train, and the "lighted" Light House.

Paco's theme park was part of a large display constructed by several of the PlayClicks members.

Hope y'all enjoyed it as much as I did! ... :)

All the best,
Richard

Very interesting - thats a clever use of the playground swing ride for the ski lift. Do those seats fit adult klickies or only the children? If adults work it might make a nice sky ride for my zoo.

Thanks for posting these photos, Richard. :)

What a cool display! Looks like it was a big hit, especially with the kids who attended.

My favourite part is the ski-lift. Like Tim, I thought it was a very imaginative use of parts.
And the old-style steamboat with the wheels on the sides is also done well. 8-)

Do those seats fit adult klickies or only the children?

Yes, they are wide enough to seat the average adult klicky too. :yup:

Did anyone notice the fence around the base of the lighthouse?

OMG! He painted the victorian fence pillars!?? :o
I don't think I'd dare take a paintbrush to something that rare.

Actually, Paco might have made a mould and those may be just copies ... ;)

They seem to be quite clever over at the Spanish forum. Take a look ... CLICK HERE and then scroll down. You won't believe your eyes! ...  :o :omg:

Paco, as well as Malone, have been at the forefront of the "casting" movement on Playclicks. So , yes, I am fairly certain it is as Richard has said, and these are castings from molds made from the original fence, and not repainted fences. In fact, I think those guys use tints in order to make their castings in color, and do not need any paint.

The Mofreaky duo have also been casting parts for quite a while, and I believe they even have a short demonstration "how to" video on their site.
