Love the look of those buffalo! Zebras aren't bad either and finally the concept of modularity is creeping in to their layouts!

Thank you for the review, Andi. Wild animals aren't one of my themes but it's still interesting to me to see reviews of these sets in terms of new developments which might spread to other themes. As Gepetto says, the idea of modularity is appearing and that's interesting, especially in terms of being able to buy the extra parts from DS for dioramas. Maybe we'll see the stream and pool idea available with green banks for a temperate theme or just as an add-on. Interesting, too, is the idea of the item itself being a mini-diorama.

The modular connecting design was introduced in the small, medium, & large land scape layout sets, but now only the large is is being produced. It was a gradual arch design to compliment the railroad systems if I'm not mistaken! I really like this new theme, & the new animal additions!

Of course! You have to have a herd.
I want to make a herd as well. I already have some hungry lions waiting for them. ;D

Thanks for the review. I really like the way a stream can be made.

Thanks for the review, Customizer.
I like the way you do it with all those pictures.
As to the set itself - I really looooove the buffelo. He's great !
Hopefully the DS will release them individually, so that a true herd can be made!
-
Thanks for the pictures! I think I have to get this set too :yup:
I hope I'm able to post pictures of four other African sets tomorrow. It will be these following sets: 4287, 4289, 4833 and 4834.

Looks fantastic. I need to get the part numbers onto my site.

Thanks for the great pictures :wow: . I was wondering when this came out if one would be able to make a stream of unlimited length . I see a starting point ( 4830 ) but on 4827 it has both ends concave arches . The 4828 & 4829 have one convex and one concave arch so it looks like it would work but do they ? I guess you could end the creek with a 4830 :eh?:
