Welcome to Day two of the Elimination Rounds here at the Marketon Jousting Tournament
-
(http://animobil.info/PFJoust/Marketon/Opening/mj-op-4.jpg)
Yesterday was an exciting day, and we expect today to bring more of the same
-
Our first match today features General Sir Agnar of Krull

-
Competing against Sir Alexander of Korent
(http://animobil.info/PFJoust/Marketon/Bracket/8/1/mj-br8-1-2.jpg)
-
(http://animobil.info/PFJoust/Marketon/Bracket/8/1/mj-br8-1-3.jpg)
It looks like both knights are concentrating more on points or a possible unhorsing than on defence this run. They’ve both let their opponent above their shield. Sir Alexander has managed to hit the General’s shoulder. The General though has just barely missed Sir Alexander.
2 points for Sir Alexander of Korent
-
(http://animobil.info/PFJoust/Marketon/Bracket/8/1/mj-br8-1-4.jpg)
We have nearly a repeat of the previous run. The General tries hard for a head tap but Sir Alexander jerks his head back enough that the General misses. Sir Alexander manages another shoulder hit as he goes past
4 Points and a win for Sir Alexander of Korent, who advances to the next round.
-
The second round of the day will be between Lord Etir Sayest
(http://animobil.info/PFJoust/Marketon/Bracket/8/2/mj-br8-2-1.jpg)
-
and Sir Elric
(http://animobil.info/PFJoust/Marketon/Bracket/8/2/mj-br8-2-2.jpg)
-
(http://animobil.info/PFJoust/Marketon/Bracket/8/2/mj-br8-2-3.jpg)
It’s all aggression today as the field narrows. Head strikes for both knights this run
Score tied at 2
-
(http://animobil.info/PFJoust/Marketon/Bracket/8/2/mj-br8-2-4.jpg)
That seems to have settled them both down, we’re seeing some defense play for the first time today. Both keep their shields up and we have a shield hit for both.
Score still tied, now at 3
-
(http://animobil.info/PFJoust/Marketon/Bracket/8/2/mj-br8-2-5.jpg)
It looks like another steady run this time. Sir Elric has let his shield down just enough that Lord Etir has taken advantage of it’s curve to get his lance past for a body strike. That’s one point for Sir Elric but 2 for Lord Etir.
Lord Etir Sayest wins the match 5 to 4 and will meet Sir Alexander of Korent in the Semi-Finals tomorrow.
-
Some aggressive play for first half, we’ll be back in a moment for the remainder of this Elimination Round

We’re back now for the second half of today’s Marketon Jousting Tournament Elimination Round.
Next on the field is Alban de Fleury
(http://animobil.info/PFJoust/Marketon/Bracket/8/3/mj-br8-3-1.jpg)
-
Getting a nice reception from the crowd there
He will be competing against Sir Lawrence of Cashtown
(http://animobil.info/PFJoust/Marketon/Bracket/8/3/mj-br8-3-2.jpg)
-
(http://animobil.info/PFJoust/Marketon/Bracket/8/3/mj-br8-3-3.jpg)
More aggressive play as Sir Lawrence does a high swing to get a lance bounce off of de Fleury’s helmet.
The side movement must have caused him some distraction as de Fleury misses.
Two points for Sir Lawrence
-
(http://animobil.info/PFJoust/Marketon/Bracket/8/3/mj-br8-3-4.jpg)
No lance swinging this time, they both have gone to a more defensive posture. Shield hits for both giving Sir Lawrence of Cashtown 3 points and the win.
Sir Lawrence moves on to the semi-finals against the winner of our next match.

We’re at our final match of the day now, and the crowd is going wild as Sir Barry Barrington-Smythe comes out on the field.
-
(http://animobil.info/PFJoust/Marketon/Bracket/8/4/mj-br8-4-2.jpg)
A mixed reaction from the crowd there, some boos as well as cheering from the sound of it
-
(http://animobil.info/PFJoust/Marketon/Bracket/8/4/mj-br8-4-3.jpg)
Sir Barry has come out all aggression and managed a solid hit to the side of the Viking’s head. The Viking just manages to pull out a shield hit in the last moment.
Score Sir Barry 2, Arngeir the Viking 1
-
(http://animobil.info/PFJoust/Marketon/Bracket/8/4/mj-br8-4-4.jpg)
OH! The Viking’s done it again! He’s unhorsed Sir Barry!
Clearly the pressure isn’t effecting him at all, or even making him stronger.
That could be so, Vanidel
The crowd is not happy with this result at all.
The Grounds have pretty heavy security on what with all the nobility on hand, and perhaps a good thing too. This sort of thing can lead to riots in some places.
I shouldn’t think so here surely?
No, as long as they keep the security teams on view the rowdy’s shouldn’t have much of a chance to get started.
Well that put’s Arngeir the Viking into the Semi-finals against Sir Lawrence of Cashtown.
Sir Alexander of Korent will compete against Lord Etir Sayest in the first match tomorrow, and it promises to be quite the day.
Thanks again folks for joining us. See you all tomorrow!

Once again awesome round with a lot of surprises!!! General Agnar will be enjoying some of his homeland Ale from now on, as far as Arngeir is concerned , what an surprise he has been and another unhorsing !!!! I think he must have unhorsed more knights than anyone else in the tournament so far !!! Great to see an underdog doing so well in this tournament
Also surpised that Fleury is out , he has done remarkably well , but thats the great think about this tournament , its full of surprises and a lot , i mean a lot of action !!!!!
Very exciting stuff all together !!!!! Bravo Tim once again :) :) :)
