As things and traffic go as planned, Brubil and I will be arriving around noon or short after.
I'll be wearing the PCC-belt with keychain-pirate and my avatar.  ;)

@ Hadoque: We didn't see you guys - no surprise there, since there were so many people!

Well, it was very crowded and I got pushed aside a lot  :-[ But the diorama's were awesome and there were plenty of sellers!

Unfortunately, I forgot to put the battery back into my photo camera, so no pictures.

The palace of Versailles (as shown in another thread) was there: incredible!!
There was also a Northpole Santa village (with workshop and lots of helpers ), a historical scene from World War One (a French town on one side, a river with bridge and a German town on the other), a giant sea with three custom ships and a sea battle (pretty gruesome: sharks eating clickies, not a pretty sight!), the mother of all circusses, a very cool modern diorama (street with shops and a church, seaside, café...), a modern farm (with a shed to milk the cows mechanically) and an alien invasion through a sort of worm hole (Egyptians running for their lives on one side, alien base on the other: ingenious!).

Let's hope other people will post photo's soon  :prays:

I found some great additions to my collection. I'm very excited about the Victorian flower market, photographer and painter, as they have been on my wish-list ever since they first appeared.
The western houses were irresistable (I seem to be wanting a house for every clicky family I have) .

And then there was the kiosk (not complete as a set, but the kiosk itself is in good condition) for a very good price.

Now my wallet will have to stay firmly closed for all things playmo for a while...

And the winner is......

Santa's workshop, gold medal diorama. Best atmosphere.

Alien invasion of ancient Egypt, funky medal, for crossing mental borders.

(Anybody else got pictures of the dioramas?)

My loot

The market stand.
The stable.
The Egyptian house. (I'm missing the small plastic rope for the well though)
The sphinx.
The two horse chariots (Egyptian one, gold-blue one).
And a whole bunch of figures.

Never spend this much on Playmobil before. I think it got to me now. :uhoh:
Mix of guilt & glad I got something to work with for Ancient scenes.

Santa's place was very good , inside the place with a lot of elfs helping Santa for 25 December .
Space Invasion was crazy , it's something so different ( alien's & Egyptians ) but it worked of perfect really was impressed with that .
The System-X farm was very nice .
The Big Ben in the first convention room , that was nice , very big , also the other's in that room where pritty nice .
Versailles , what can i say about that ? It's like a 1/25 scale or something i think , the only thing missing is a lot of clikies , but very very nice .

@ Hadoque: We didn't see you guys - no surprise there, since there were so many people!

Brubil and I arrived saturday around 15h00, which was somewhat later then planned
(my fault; I wasn't ready in time to hit the road due to one of my cats having been sick all over the floor... ::) )
As we know several of the expositioners and sellers , we were able to stay till after closure, to take more pictures when all other visotors when gone and talk some more with the expositioners.
Original plan was to travel back to Flanders in the evening, but we decided to look for a hotel and stay the night so we would have a day extra. :yippee:

So, we arrived again at the expostion today Sunday at noon and we stayed till 17h00. It was even more crowdy then on Saturday  8} , so I did less diorama-viewing/taking pics then on saturday and spend more time talking with several mostly French and German people.
It was great to see folks again after several years , and to get to know others in person who I sofar had only encountered on the forums and/or bought from on ebay.  8-)

I just noticed a few secs ago that Playmofrankjohn has put up a link to many pics he took, and I think he covered pretty everthing that was to be seen on the event...
I'll check if I have additional good pics which are worthwhile to add.

All in all, I had 2 great days and it was very worthwhile!! :) :) :)
I'm very happy to have seen f.e. Michael's ''Versailles'', Jean-Mi's ''Big Ben'' and Nicolas' "HMS Victory'' (wich was in première) with my own eyes from close up!! :lens:  :camera:

Ooh, very sneaky!

I also succeeded in boarding & commandeering a *small* ship called HMS VICTORY...

This huge trimaster with 3 gundecks is based on British Admiral Nelson's flagship from the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805, and is made and owned by the french customizer NICOLAS DUFAYE. It was the first time he put this ship on display for the public.

I'll start a dedicated thread with more pics about this ship one of the next days...

Haha, brilliant, your avatar showing up in the diorama's  ;D

I can't believe Sunday was even more crowded - we kinda fled on Saterday to get away from it all. We saw a child running off with a clicky from the big ship twice in a row. I don't know how they managed to keep their diorama's intact with so many people huddling over them.

Must have been fantastic to stay around after the sea of raging children had ebbed.

(sorry to hear about your cat's little problem  ;))

Really, parents let their kids run off with klickies  :hmm: At the show we did this year there were just under 10,000 people and not a single thing went missing. I did let some kids play with stuff and re-arrange areas but it never was a problem. I had an autistic kid who really was beyond interested in it all and I let him have some things but is was a bit uncomfortable as his mom felt that I was annoyed when that is just how I always am
