There are a few times that the playmofriends webpage is not uploading... I get the message that there are technical difficulties and maybe the server is down, try again later etc... I've had it for about four hours now...And it also happens sometimes in the mornings...
Anybody experience the same problem?
Maybe this is due to technical check?

was down intermittently today for me. Gave some error msg that the server for the site was full or something or other. Who maintains the site on the technical side? Sylvia? I hope everything's ok. I certainly appreciate what goes into maintaining this awesome site for us all, especially since its maintenence is being tended to as a volunteer service to all of us by its maintainer. Thank you for all your hard work.

Same here!!! But the site Gordon provied told me its me, not playmofriends... Its strange though... If it was not playmofriends, why did we all had trouble?

The outage error has happened to me once in the past couple of weeks but it was quite short-lived.
This could be a sign that we will soon need to move the site to a dedicated server. At least, that's probably what the hosting company will advise. ( It means more $$$ for them. ;))
Last time something similar was occurring, I think it was caused by too many bots trawling the site. I noticed a marked increase in "guests" viewing pages and doing other stuff. The problem resolved once their numbers went back to normal.
A software update might also help, but that would take a lot of time. I have hacks in place which would need to be recoded, such as the extra questions added to the registration form. A job for next summer, perhaps, when I have a bit more free time.

I couldn't get on about 0700 GMT today, but now, 1541, it's fine.
Thanks, too, for the info. I'm sure if it means more $$$ then they will be forthcoming.
