I'm not into Steampunk fiction or video games or anything, so I don't know much, but is this based on something, or did you come up with the idea yourself? I know that ships like this are commonplace in the genre, but does The Phoenix belong to some particular fiction?

  Hi Pynedor,

no the Phoenix is my own idea not really based on anything I just wanted to combine one of my hot air balloons with a ship. I've only read one Steampunk series, but I do like the fashion / style. I loved things like Jules Verne and H G Wells and I wanted to do some thing in that style.

Improvise, adapt, overcome ..... If all else fails FAKE IT!
