Title: Posessed nun
Post by: matchboxluc on December 04, 2005, 17:40:38
Hi,

I have been experimenting with electrical applications in klickies and came up with a nun with illuminating eyes, as if she was posessed by a diabolic force.
For these pictures I used a model railroad transformer, but I am working on using lithium cells that can be hidden.

;D Very clever idea !I What did you do to her eyes?
It works beautifully. I can´t wait to see the battery version!

Now we need the ghost story.

Can she flash as well? Do Morse? Mesmerise? Light us home on a foggy night?  ;D

Thanks for sharing,

Guarrenzino

I used a tiny light bulb inside the head and fitted the drilled-out eyes with light conducting wire.

Hello, matchboxluc ...

I've added lights to the original Playmobil electric trains, but never thought about electrifying my Klickys. Really cool idea ... (http://www.gardenwargamer.com/images/worshippy.gif)

;D Very clever idea ! ... Can she flash as well? ...

Only Mr. G would think of turning a nun into a "flasher" ...

All the best,
Richard

That's an interesting custom, mbl.

It's given me an idea for working torches for the firefighters!

Highly creative and extrememly well executed

I am not sure I want to meet her on a dark and stormy knight

But, I can imagine several ways to exploit her talent.   >:D

Cool! Very cool idea. You just also have to change her mouth/lips so that she became more mysterious or frightened ...

I used a different body now for the nun and it is now battery operated. I wanted to use a switch to turn the eyes on and off and found that the lithium cell version, although electrically sound, would be for now too complex to incorporate a switch. So with the use of a modified ancient lego (yes, I know) battery box (which has a switch already) I managed to make a working unit with a 9V battery.

Hmmm ... ^-^

It would appear, matchboxluc, that Lego may be stealing your ideas ... ;)

Lego's new Police Sation (7237) has a lighted figure!

It would be interesting to see how they are getting power to the police officer's flashlight.

However, we must stop Lego from discovering all of our secrets ... :o

All the best,
Richard

Is the flashlight removable from the hand of the policeman?

If not, then my idea would be to stick a tiny watch/cell battery into the body of the lego figure.

M

JL,
Great progress on a very cool idea

Cool... I like her... I don't think there is anything scary with her...
This is an amazing custom matchboxluc...

She is just literally doing her job, isn't she?  ;)
Bringing light into the dark...
Showing the path...
Guiding the way...

 ;D

best regards,
socrates
