Hi Friends,
after LEGO (2007 ??) brought there skeleton horses, i thought about a playmobil one.
The first idea to make one with dino skeleton parts but the last years i dont find the time.
This year i had another idea for Halloween to paint a horse skeleton on a black horse.
Here is the result !!
ENJOY and have fun !!
Have a look to the skeleton riders, too !

Hi,
thx for your feedback.
I paint with hand and skull color (vallejo) and a brush, but i thought about a fluorescent color

Did you, or are you going to, put a clear coat over the paint?
I am just wondering how durable the Valejo paints are - I've never used them, but I know their reputation for being excellent for painting scale figures.
After all that work, I would not want the paint to come off.

Hi Friends,
ok here some answer:
cowabounga:
i dont use a stencil !! I only paint it with a brush and a the Vallejo color.
I dont transfer the horse skull on the horse !! ;)
I paint a long time freehand, the only help i need ,i had the horse skeleton as print on a paper , this lay left from the horse.
I look on the paper than i paint some bones, again look and paint, thats all.
Im a airbrusher ,too
But if i use airbrush system i make a stencil but this time i dont have the time for a
perfect stencil so i paint it freehand.
Wesley Myers:
i dont use a clear coat this time, i love this vallejo colors, the adhesion is
really good, but my childs dont play with the horses yet.

Ps: THX FOR YOUR FEEDBACK !!

Beautiful work Andi, I love them
Here in the US it's possible to get glow in the dark acrylic paint. It's from a line of craft paints. I used it to paint my glow in the dark ghost chicken.
-
Amazing!!! Its a hard work...
I'm working on a similar idea for horse of Lord of the Rings, but as you know I use stickers. I've take a picture of a skeleton from a book and I've made a white sticker (only white, similar like your work). Sticker that I can tranfer fast. ;)

Glow in the dark ghost chicken? You HAVE to show us pics Bendalator!

Years later this is still such an excellent execution! While I prefer an actual bony horse, I can still see this as a viable Playmobil model. Hopefully one day....
