''Korbal...'' said the King
''Hello, Highness... Some months ago you accused me of being hostile... what have you to say now?''

''I have nothing to say to you, Korbal'' said the king as he was getting up...
''Oh? Perhaps you need a reason for it?'' said Korbal and drew his sword, an obsidian blade, carved by Korabas, the Black Dragon at the begginings of time...

''Not now my dear'' Evilia touched Korbal on the shoulder... ''He will pay, but not here...''

''You still have a soft spot for him, eh sister?'' asked Korbal...

Sir Baldthar was on his horse again, and along with Dassem, the king's champion were nearing the two brothers...
''You never learn, do you?'' said Anomander...

...and immidiately he and his brother turned into their true form...

...two forms that scared the horses next to the king, scattering here and there, not watching over him...

...and as everyone was watching the two brothers, Kellanved saw an opportunity to make a run for it...

''Stop him!!!'' cried Korbal...

...he came out of nowhere... it was broad daylight and he still came out of nowhere... Balzaak drove his blade on the king...

Korbal came near, and reached for the king's sword... he picked it up without a word...

..and turned to yell at the two brothers... ''You two, enough! We have what we want. Let personal vendettas for another time.''

''You are in no position to...'' started Anomander, but the Duke interrupted him ''Your older brother would agree with me''
''He is right, said the golden dragon, we must respect Korabas little brother.''
Sir Baldthar, Dassem, the King's nephew and Tanakalian managed to get away into the woods...

''Sister,'' turned Korbal to Evilia, ''is he..'' ''Yes brother, it is done.''

''You! Come here!'' Korbal turned to the Steward of the White Swan ''Your word is the next best thing to the King's successor now... you'll enter the city along my side... I have plans for you...''
''The king's brother will never...'' started Estos ''Oh don't be so sure...'' said the Duke with an evil smile...

Oh wow, Rutileo must prepare for what may be a hostile border. :o
Excellent story Panos! Very sad that Kellanved had to die.
I wait to see what happens now, if the knights whom escaped can save the day,
And of course, how this will effect politics throughout the kingdoms.
Steck is BACK! <:>
