May i suggest that all playmobils funs , member of this forum have a meet up perhaps at the fun park at playmobil in kifisia, athens, greece sometime that suits us all ??? Of course all playmobil fans being in athens that day will be more than welcomed to join !!!! Reckon so playmoibl fun park is the ideal place for a meet up .. ( i am always tempted to play a bit with the new castles there !!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D)

Greece is a little off the map. (No offense I hope!)
What about somewhere more like... Fance?
They have a fun park there, and though it is still a little far for us People from the US
It is more twords the "center" of the community.

Isn't there another convention similar to the recent Playmobil Planet?
I would also enjoy going to a convention but, combining it with admiring peoples handywork just sound so much more fun then going to a funpark. However I may be wrong as I have never been to a funpark.
with a long enough leadtime maybe some of the people from across the ocean can come over.
With that in mind maybe LOndon (or close too) might not be to bad because most places have decent priced tickets there. (*cough* I can't leave this without mentioning Amsterdam of course)

I think an easy move is for the greek members is to meet in athens for example. i am counting three so far anymore out there? regardless of a europena meeting which is more difficult to set i suggest the grek members meet in say a month and any other members join in of course if they can . i sugget in one month from now and meeting point in playmobil athens , greece. :love:

I'm in for the 20th of June but I have not see my shift program for June.
I have been in Playmobil fun parks 3-4 times with my son.But the toys there is one step before the total destruction!! When i get the shift schedule in hands let you Know.

Well, i think we all have to think of an agenda !!! i reckon so some good old playmo talk , have a look at the shop and some playmo buying, i think it might be a good idea to contact playmoibl and thell them we shall be there on that day and perhaps a picture is taken with the playmobil greece general manager ( i know someone who knows his - so if anyone agrees might give hima call and ask if he is happy to do that ), anyone with other ideas now is the time to post them !!!! i havent tried any of the food/snacks at the park but i have been told its not bad also :P

I will contact him but i can only do this after mid june ( as i will be away from early week for 3 weeks ... i am sure however that we can have a meeting with him and discuss all these with him. He has my card actually as i was asked for it by one of his employees when i did my latest big purchase of pine trees and balck lion soldiers so i will contact him when i get back no problem !!!

yes some worth it but always when i want to buy something from the existing market ebay goes in the front i see items that are not to leave them because you say you may not find them for a long time the redcoats trees are there from april i want to buy some trees and all romans some millions of klickys and four to six ships but no money available !!!!!!!

The 20th of June is clear and available for the meeting.But because I shall be away from home the week of June between 12-19,we must fix the meeting for 20 of June.By the way i had many tries in past to try to talk with the Playmobil in Greece anf find solution for DS Services but the guys are simply "fragofoniades" and nothing else.It is a pity!By the way the have one or two dioramas with romans.

I am on holiday until the 16th June, i reckon it is a good idea to meet up first agree what is to be said and then ask for a meeting, while we are there we can talk to the person in charge that day , tell him/her we are collectors and then agfter we have agreed what to say , a meeting is set with their greek general manager ... :)

Not a chance :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:!!! but we will speak as a team together , agree and prioritise what we want to tell him , speak to the people there and then a meeting will be arranged. Me and him have a common friend also but i think anyways he will be happy to hear what we have to say and want Playmobil Greece to do for us collectors.... 20th of june people !!! :)

YES guys, except the german guys and the witch lady there two girls maybe more.One is very good looking :o and other one is my favorite!! because she always mad with something,usually with kids that keep asking her the prices for the playmobil sets by phone and the appearance is tricky 8}.I' not a observer of playmobil but i normally visit this place one or two times every month for my son and my orders. 8-)

Thanks , i still havent decided what to get ....i am thinking to buy a few mediaval families and black lion knights ( another 100, so it will be 420 in total) or 100 redcoats or 50 union/50 cofederate army, or 100 romans , awwww i dont know , i want them all actually !!!! i want to buy more klickies but also keen to buy the dragonland series and of course the pyramid and the egyptians thati havent bought yet !!!!!! 8} 8} 8} 8} 8} 8} 8} 8}

..... The meeting took place after all !!! I am very happy i met Grangel ( Angelos ) and his family and Wolf Knight ( Panos). We bought playmobil and we discussed what we will ask the Playmoibl Hellas GM when a meeting is set and hopefully most of us will be in that meeting !!!
For me it was a fruitful playmo today as i bought :
One catapult, 27 goths, 15 green knights, 167 (!!!! ;D ;D) Black Lion shield Soldiers ( some i will pick up next week , that brings my total to 477 black lion knights ...) , 1 goth leader, 21 roman leggionaires, one roman set 4271, two dragon knight small luggage sets ( cant remember number ) , one 4805 monster , 2 x of all the wolf knights ( panos convinced me i should have more and so right he is , they are awesome !!!)
A great playmo day and very happy i got to meet a couple of people from the forum , shame we forgot to take pictures , the sheer excitment of being amongst so many klickies i blame ...) , for me the meeting with the GM will be set and hopefully we shall all be there to discuss our request ( demands even) for ordering parts from greece and for a collectors club to bring back old sets and anything else that doesnt come to mind just now . Great meeting ya all , my promise is an invitation when i set all my mediaval collection this summer , perhaps that can be our Greek playmofriends meeting no2 ( and not only for greeks hopefully!!!) ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Just got back myself!!! The meeting was great and fruitfull!!! I was happy to meet you George and Angele personally!!! I think the points we discussed mst be forward as soon as time permits again! I'll be waiting for the next meeting with th GM anxiously!!!
Oh and yes, it was sad that we did not take a picture after all but with so many sets to choose we lost track of time!!!!
So I got: 39 red coats, 1 red coat captain, 30 green dragon knights (thank you Giorginetto for the six of them) 12 union soldiers, 12 confederate soldiers, 1 union commander, 1 confederate commander, 1 pharao, 3 egyptian soldiers, 2 bisons (they are awesome!!!) 6 leggionaires, 1 catapult, 1 nessie monster, 2 kitchen sets, 1 medieval house, 1 pirate dungeon... i think these are all)
So....Waiting anxiously for the second meeting and hope I'll be able to attend (all make it more than possible) ;)

Impressive , impressive , impressive.. if you are not planning to buy any more pleae give me the source for 3669 sets as i want to buy at least another 200 golden dragon soldiers, knights etc , need to have a decent army to oppose my 400 balck lion knights etc etc !!!!!

must be round 80 golden dragon aux soldiers and another 60-70 or so green dragon knights, i have also a flying squadron of 6 green dragons ( or 7 ) that go along with them .. small number i wish these golden dragons were available to buy 200-300 at one go and cause some serious threat to King Giorgious.... >:D >:D >:D >:D >:D >:D >:D >:D

I am laughing at my self also for getting over the steck fever and have the klicky fever on... at the moment playmobil is my central hobby and i am investing heavily in my collection as black lion knights will no longer be available, egyptians are going soon and well the latest sets and klickies are not my flavor to be honest . so i am getting these and hopefully some america civil war klickies and red coats next year . on the subject of redcoats due to the fact i am british born and lived there almost all my life , if there will be still available in late 2011 there will be a 1 off buy at xmas 2011 of 600 of them ...... or i may as well go completely bonkers and buy them now ( joking !!!! ) ... The klicky fever is getting worse .... 8} 8} 8} 8} 8} 8} 8}

Hmmm, i reckon klickies cost more especially when new... but that depends on quantities and what setck one is talking about, eg blue houses are quite expensive ( havent seen any recently btw...) , will post photos in the forthcoming weeks , very difficult to find time for setting these up and they are all about 100km from where i live anyways !!!!
Napoleonic, awwwwww, my biggest dream... if only i could order the green coats from pirate prison say 400 of them , i would buy 400 redcoats on the spot, 50 western cannons and there you go , waterloo... !!! ( well green would have to be replaced by blue but i reckon the harbour guards Sir wolf has with proper redcoats hats with blue ribbon would pass as french ...) someone tell playmobil to make napoleonic armies pleeeeease !!!! that would be sooo sooo awesome !!!!!

Just take a few parts from one set, and a few from another...
It takes time, but eventually you have those beautiful armies. :)
And I suppose you are right about the cost of Klickies... and quanteties... ;)

Need to complete the 'gaps' in my mediaval figures and buy the egyptians army first !!!! Question after is redcoats ( aka pirate sets but also with port and mediaval city as it is excluding the knights and some bits) or americal civil war - western ( towns, forts, indians , train, ships apply to some extend etc ) , just love the idea of any byonnaite opposing armies actually, red coats must look fantastic in vast numbers !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I suggest buying your Napoleonic armies first.
As you already have some western, but no Napoleonics.

When the thing will be calm down with the babies and all this i suggest i battle between your lion guard and my golden dragon army.i think your medieval town is a good target to be under siege from my Dragons!!!! THE DRAGONS ALWAYS HAVE APPETITE FOR LIONS !!!!!

When the thing will be calm down with the babies and all this i suggest i battle between your lion guard and my golden dragon army.i think your medieval town is a good target to be under siege from my Dragons!!!! THE DRAGONS ALWAYS HAVE APPETITE FOR LIONS !!!!!

My 50 barons (3890) heavy foot soldiers ( my elite fighting force, the kings guard ) and 500 something lion foot soldiers and 60 horsed knights plus 80 or so auxilliaries, 30 sheilded archers , 8 catapults and 50 nuremberg guards will make it a tough one for the dragons... Will be a good battle !!!! I will lent you my 4 siege towers to allow the dragon knights to get to the walls easily and then have some heavy battle going. hmmm perhaps you need a balancing force!!!! I'll place my green dragon knights (as you have a strong cavalry) next to Angelo and my mounted double axe dark knights next to giorginetto (since it seems to me you lack the cavalry)....lets ballance the scales....

you are on the right track i reckon Panos. Well , we need to buy more and more steck and klickies to set magnificent, large sets, i reckon it can be quite something , needs quite a bit of planning but if say 5-10 people join in i reckon its possible and will be quite something ..... something to think about as how to plan etc , reckon so a second meeting would be the best idea after a number of interested collectors come forward, no point talking about ideas and how to plan it etc at this stage. lets see who is seriously ' in' and then we set a meeting to braistorm and agree preliminary action plan and our strategy ( i sound as i am at work now.... :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:). Good points panos about other collector's playmobil hellas ( i am sure they will love the idea and might sponsor it, remember we have contact with their PR and marketing manager now ...) .... lets see who else is out these shall we ??? :wave: :wave: :wave:

Remember how many parent/collectors are hiding behind the quote "it's for my children" until they find out there are many others who say like I have "my name is Bill Blackhurst, & I'm a Playmobil addict" & become free from their fear of isolation :love:! They may be dragging their children to Playmobil Hellas to fulfill their own addictions to which you will be giving them a refuge to pursue a fellowship with other closet collectors :lol: like ourselves! It's my "opinion"..... that people other than the ones collecting, consider these items toys, & that they are for children not adults. This causes the adult collector to hide their obsession & keep them out of sight so they are not made to feel there is something wrong with their hobby.

Very true! But in the past when I question adults about their Playmobil purchases at toy stores, they say they hunt deer, own a bass boat & enjoy fishing, like to ski, snow board, enjoy camping,...etc. I've never had a grown man admit to collecting Strawberry Shortcake memorabilia as a hobby, even though they just might ;)!

When I was in the UK I used to buy lots of Playmo sets ( still do :lol: :lol:) and very often used to visit Toys R Us in Woking. Remember i used to fill trolleys with blue boxes and was pretty much proud of it... I think the previously mentioned comments are very valid however and thast easire said than done i think we ought to be proud of our hobby and collections which are harmless and very artistic if you ask me :)

i have call today the Playmobil hellas customer service and they have told me that ican order spare part but i have called after 14.00 and the customer service is closed after 14.00.i shall call them tomorrow morning and i shall try to give order.Lets see!! i'm in panic what should i order first.....200 swords no ....50 arrows....

Thats bad news. They took my order of over 100 shields and spears , but perhaps the sheers quantities of my orders recently have played a role in this . I am very inerested to hear what they said to you angelo though....

I was under the impression that we would do it a Giorginetto's house...
(I don't really know why, maybe because I though because he lived nearby to Athens (or in Athens...?))
But what if the Fun Park were to support and hold our battle there! :D
We could battle at the Fun Park! It could be an Event for the fun park, and people could come and watch.
We could hold it outside perhaps, (though I prefer inside) or somewhere were people can easily see it.
Then we promote it (with the help of Playmobil)
And see how many people we can get to come view our epic battle!
It would be great propaganda for Playmobil, and when we are done,
We are already right at the fun park so we could go inside and buy stuff! ;D
I think it could work, it would profit for Playmobil,
And be fun for us, and anyone who wants to watch. :)

its a great idea WoT, by next summer i will have a 100m2 garage free to set things in it etc , For me all my klickies today are in a storage area of about 35m2 outside athens which is dust free, secure, shelves all round and has approx 20m2 free area with elevated surfaces but thats not enough even for my mediaval city !!! Let me give it some more thought, if i move all my collections to the garage by next summer , means i will have to set new huge surface areas there, improved lighting , new long shelves for all my collections , dust collection machines ( currently where my playmos are is 100% dust free ) and i will have a higher risk for flooding ( though there is an entrance water entrapment with pump ) as its a garage below ground level . Anyways , my playmobil collection boxed for transport fill a lorry now and all the above mentioned costs and transport equall probably a couple of thousands of euros that i have to think if prefer spending in buyin more klickies .. let me give it some serious thought as a fair amount of money is involved .. A great idea though , imagive if i have created a 60m2 elevated area with all my mediaval city and armies, the big forrest and vikings , and on the other side all the pyramids, romans etc etc , awwwwwwwwwwwww :P :P :P :P :P :P

Anyways , my playmobil collection boxed for transport fill a lorry now and all the above mentioned costs and transport equall probably a couple of thousands of euros that i have to think if prefer spending in buyin more klickies .. let me give it some serious thought as a fair amount of money is involved .. A great idea though , imagive if i have created a 60m2 elevated area with all my mediaval city and armies, the big forrest and vikings , and on the other side all the pyramids, romans etc etc , awwwwwwwwwwwww :P :P :P :P :P :P

If we can't do it at Playmobil Hellas, it is great to know we have another place.
But I was hoping we could do it at the Playmobil FnPark for these reasons:
1- It could get more people interested in Playmobil.
2- It could show Playmobil Hellas (not to mention perhaps the rest of Playmobil) that the collectors are very real, and worth quite a profit. ;)
3- There has been lots of talk about a Playmobil/Collectors hosted event that could strengthen our bonds with Geobra
And show that we are as willing to do this are the are. This could be on such event. :)
That is what I was suggesting. But if Playmobil Hellas doesn't agree,
I think it would be great to do it in your garage.
(Though there may be a problem with space, as we are trying to fit over 500 Playmobil in it,
And have enough room to maneuver. Which (believe me), can require a lot of room...)

I like WoT idea! The funpark will be the ideas setting for all the reasons he states...only problem is, I doubt they will host it...
Still no hurt in asking...
Maybe by next summer we'll have a good place to do this battle here in Thessaloniki...and believe me, if we manage to, it could promote playmobil to the general public at a great level...

500?? That my standard balck lion knight only. If we combine figures we are probably looking ( Mediaval , Pirates, Romans, Egyptians, Western ) well over 4000......
Lets see what Playmobil says .. My only slight concern is the time it will take to pack for example all my steck and mediaval stuff , set it and unpack however a week off work should do it . Let's see what playmobil has to say !!!

I am only able to get to Greece for a weekend if I am able to go at all. (We are on uncertain ground once more! ::) )
And battles of this size take time... For setup, the actual battle, and break-down.
