Greetings from Bavaria
« on: June 18, 2008, 22:20:00 »
Hello to all Playmofriends on this forum.

My name's Simon and having just arrived I'd like to tell you more about myself.

I live in Bavaria (Germany) and I'm a father of 2 girls. Having been a big fan of Plamyobil as a boy (Together with my two brothers we owned the Castle, Smithy and Bakery and later the first big pirate ship) I've come back now as my 2 daughters (5 and 2 years old) are about to (re-)discover with me the fascination of Playmobil.

So we do play a lot, but I've also started to do some Non-MIB collecting for myself. I've also been active for about one year now as a moderator on the Germany-based "Klickywelt"-Forum that some of you might be familiar with.

I'd like to get to know more international admirers of Playmobil and to share fun, enthusiasm and information on this forum.

Since we have two girls, the "girl" themes have had a large impact on my favourites so I'm into Fairytale, Magic, Castle, but not exclusively ;D -->My wife talked me into keeping a pirate ship 3940 that I'd bought in bad shape, so now pirates have started to invade my house as well.....

That should be sufficient as a Welcome post, I hope.

I'm glad to have arrived here.

Simon

Welcome to Playmofriends Simon!

Thanks for speaking about yourself :)
I like dearly to hear about each one's history with Playmobil.

(And it's very interesting to me to realize that many people go into (or return to) Playmobil because of their children ... I came to know it when I came to this forum, no more than three months ago.)

I'd like to take a look at Klickywelt ... Only, I can do no German at all :-[ So, this is the right place to me ;D People here were wandering about what was going on there recently ... Especially because a number of them here that are there seem not to be able to make much German either so they couldn't tell us what happened!

I'm Gustavo, btw ... 'live in Rio, Brasil.

Have a good time!

Hi Simon!

Welcome from Scotland! :)

I'm sure your girls wouldn't object to being given some of the slightly more 'boyish' Playmobil sets to play with once they're a bit older? ;)

Thanks for joining us and taking the time to post an introduction. :D Hope you will have fun here! :)

Welcome from North Yorkshire in the UK, Simon ;  I recognised your name from klickywelt (I'm playmofireuk on that board and largely communicate through emoticons!).

I'm sure you'll enjoy it here and look forward to seeing your collection.

Hello, Simon ...

A BIG welcome to Playmofriends from the United States Virgin Islands.

As you probably already know, I visit Klickywelt from time to time ... ;)
And, there are lots of us who are very happy to see it back online!

Since my German depends heavily on Babelfish, I am hoping that I will get to know you much better (and easier) here at Playmofriends.

All the best,
Richard
