Hello and welcome from The Netherlands  ;D
I don't have any Playmobil trains yet, am waiting for august to buy the 5258 for my son (ofcourse).
Can't wait to see some pictures of yours.
It's OK to panic, as long as you follow the correct procedure

 Welcome Marco!  So good to have you with us.  ;)
Joe

Could you explain what LGB stands for?  I am afraid Playmobil trains are still a mystery to me.
LGB is an acronym for Lehmann Gross Bahn (Lehmann Large Railway). LGB started in 1968 making garden railways running on scale 1 rails (LGB is scale IIm, or 1:22,5). In the late sixties, early seventies much model railway firm started to produce smaller trains (scale N), but Lehmann took the gamble to make larger trains. They hoped that there were still people that would like to make a train in a garden, and the gamble worked out. Lehmann and Playmobil introduced in the mid-eighties a train for the "klicky's". Although it was a very good system, I think it was much too expensive for most Playmobil fans. Playmobil went on with trains, but with cheaper plastic rails and RC-control. In 2007 Märklin took over LGB, and in 2012 a starter set was announced which in my opinion also suites "klicky's". But I have not more information about this set yet.

Set LGB 90450

And hello from yet another Dutchman.  :)

With the diverse sets of playmobil, you might be able to set up a great enviroment around the train as well with train stations, houses, bridges, and of course plenty of clickies to ride the train or watch it ride past them while they are picknicking, on a walking trip or otherwise found around the track.

welcome to Playmofriends. You will find there are quite a few train collectors in here and some get quite serious about the theme. I have both brass and plastic and love every minute of our (3 sons) play time. We usually turn on a train and let her ride around as we play.

The blue LGB/Marklin train you showed looks like it would fit in with playmoibl toy-ish look very nicely.
If you hear the sound of the bell which will tell you that Grigori has been killed, if it was your relations who have wrought my death, then no one in the family will remain alive. They will be killed by the Russian people. :prays:

Thank you all for your warm welcome.

I will start a new topic about the LGB set, since it has nothing to do with my introduction.
I hope this double post will be forgiven (I know, you should avoid it).

Welcome from the Scottish Highlands! :coo:

I hope this double post will be forgiven (I know, you should avoid it).

No, that's perfectly OK! It's not a double post, it's a reply. We're fairly relaxed about such things, anyway. ;)

Welcome Marco, from another Dutchman. I'm sure you'll enjoy it here! Trains are not my cup of tea (however, I used to have a big Lima train in my youth), I'm more interested in ancient and exotic warriors from the melee era, also fantasy knights, I make a comic with them you might like. (The Story of Randolph in the Story telling section).
Another project is making chess sets under the name Playmochess.

Hope to see more pics soon!
