I can't buy that book in argentina....and it's really expensive to bring it from abroad!  :'(
I`d love to have it!

Hi guys,

i had the 1765 as a child in the early 80's and it was white with those PP stickers. as kids we never kept the boxes so recently i have been buying many old sets for the boxes. 1765 is one i received MIB recently and the helicopter inside the box was yellow just like skypurrs. so i can confirm that playpeople did put white and yellow helicopters in the 1765 boxes. hope this helps identify the helicopter to the set.

Thanks for this info Claire, it helps my research out a lot.

I'm wondering now if it might of been down to a matter of cost or it was just easier to make them all one colour at the factory rather than an error.

regarding material cost, yellow would have cost more than white as ABS is naturally whitish to white. Yellow ABS needs a yellow pigment.
On the other hand, produce only yellow parts meant having only one run for standard and UK market (no mould changing, larger production batches, an so on...)

I would therefore believe too they changed from white to yellow in UK to reduce costs
