Question about 3050 / 3550 pirate ship parts
« on: November 15, 2007, 05:11:38 »
I picked up a great deal (pun intended) of playmobil today.  It contains the following:

4033 steaming mary train with box
3770 colorado station with box
3761 saloon with box
3665 barons castle with box
3450 large castle with box
3771 weekend house no box
3423 sheriff's office no box
3773 fort bravo no box
3733 indian camp box top only
3050 / 3550 pirate ship

All this is in pretty good shape, a few minor pieces missing here or there (like a railing for the colorado station) with the exception of the 3050 pirate ship which is missing lots of stuff - here's a picture.  It's missing the poop deck, the lower deck, one sail (the others are in bad shape), one rigging, the steering wheel, one crows nest.

Anyway, I'm guessing the DS will have none of these parts, but in looking at playmodb.org (THANK YOU Heather!!) I notice that it appears as though parts from a 5053, 5736 or 5778 would fit, but may not be the right color.

So my question to you all, is it worth buying the parts and trying to salvage this ship?  And with my luck it would be multiple orders from DS cause I'd overlook something.

I'll point out that a 5778 ship can be found for $30 - I'm not sure what the parts from DS would run.

Thanks!

I think i can help you with most of the missing parts.
I even have a list with pictures of all parts needed to make it complete.

If you're interested in a trade just send me a PM.
