Our latest review is the Caribbean Bucaneer, set 6822 (https://earlymodernplaymobil.wordpress.com/2021/06/14/6822/). I'm particularly interested to know what playmofriends make of those hat charms, because A. finds them very breakable!

I like the skull and other like charms. But I am not 5...
I do find it odd to have these called "narrow-wristed" :P But I suppose we all refer to them in different ways ;)

I don't think there is a wrong or right way - to me, the older klickys, like that one are the thick wristed ones... Cause the arms without that "separation" between hand and arm (like all the speedos) have actually thinner arms. Though technichally, you may be right - since the wrist IS thicker! :P

Ah, I see. I suppose I've approached it from a functional perspective: what bracelet will fit and so on. So looking at the existing reviews, 9441 is the only 'thick-wristed' clickie. But the arm/shirt sleeve in use also determines the wrist size.

Smooth wrists might be another way to describe it. Some have thicker sleeves so you can use old style cuffs, some have smooth tight sleeves that use the new style cuffs and accessories.

Hehe, again, the colour of this klicky is the same colour a man from Southern Europe (Spain, Portugal, Malta, Sicily) would turn to in the summer, after months out in the sun.
I’m starting to think this is simply a question that people from the North, and from Northern cultures, can’t tell well enough the different skin-type nuances. A kind of SapirWhorf of the skin ;D ;D ;D
I mean, it’s telling of them that seeing someone like this klicky makes them think ‘ethnic’, and not tanned, Catholic European - the same kind who painted the Sistine Chapel and wrote the Don Quixote.
(Be that as it may, I STILL think the regular klicky reflected well enough my skin type in winter ;D ;D ;D)

Is it though? Plamobil do make an olive 'skin' (e.g. the femle pirate in #9884). This one is kind of orange, more a sort of 'Donald' fake tan. :lol: I concede it's open to the owner to determine. Playmobil, however, use these colours for South Asians, Egyptians and Native Americans. Doesn't that suggest that #6822 was conceived by them as South Asian, Egyptian or Native American.

Just checked out the other set, and I see what you mean.
I’m not trying to be funny here, but it’s true that when one lives in a warm, sunny climate, like the whole Med region, one’s skin colour changes all the time according to the time of year.
I mean, I live in Belgium where the weather is what it is, and many people from the Maghreb who live there - In Belgium, I mean - aren’t as tanned, as dark, as the ones you see if you go on holiday to Tunisia, or wherever.
For us (Med people) skin colour is way fluider than people of other skin types can maybe imagine. People from India always seem to be that kind of bronze colour as far as my eyes can see, and black people always seem to be black, but again, it could just be that my eyes don’t see the different nuances.
