A Ride In a Fire Engine

Hello All
I have allways wanted to see what a ride in the cab of a Playmo fire engine would be like and today with the help of Station Officer Philip's and Blue watch Pendeford i got the chance. The appliance in question has been called out to a factory fire with persons reported and is rapidly making its way through traffic to get to the scene. All you have to do now is insert lights and sirens and imagine Martha Reeve's and the Vandella's (Love Is Like) A Heatwave playing in the background
Kindest Regards Tim

You get the idea of moving through traffic.
Why isnt the red car slowing down and moving off to the side to allow the ladder truck to pass??

Hello Gordon
Thank you very much indeed for the kind feedback and for taking the time to reply
.
Kindest Regards Tim
Hello Meg
Thank you also for the very kind feedback. The question regarding the red car is a very difficult one to answer. Here in the UK as far as i am aware the rules are different to the US in the legal requirement to yield to an emergency vehicle. It is usually common curtesy to pull over and let them pass although there are some very stubborn people out there who just can't be bothered. Actually nine times out of ten if there is room for the emergency vehicle to get past they usually do it before you have time to move anyway. This is the case with my pictures, the fire engine has allready started pulling out as the car starts to slow down and pull in.
Kindest Regards Tim

Hello Richard
Thank you very much indeed for your kind words of encouragement. The idea came to me the other night and the solution to the problem in positioning the camera came soon after. Hopefully i will be doing a few more pictures from the cabs of my engines soon
.
Kindest Regards Tim

Great photos, Tim!
I love the way you have taken them with a klicky's-eye view.
Really does feel like we're riding along in the cab with the firefighters.

Sup Tim,
That's just like the real thing. Whats that red car thinking?
, it looks like the operator needs to have some fun with the airhorn
. How did the run turn out, was it a real fire or just a false alarm? Thanks for sharing Tim
