Fi?ures by body type
« on: August 02, 2015, 21:17:11 »
(Sorry if this topic is a repeat, I didn't see anything like it in a cursory search.)

Tahra has pointed out in her reviews how the Mystery Bags are advertised as having interchanging parts, and that is too often just not the case.

And  there have been a few requests lately for child-sized Fi?ures. (I want some too!)

So, why can't GB specialize  the Series by body type so they ARE more interchangeable?
How about an all kids series?    Or all Fat bodies?  Or all swimsuit?

If these look like fun, please add on.
Switch out any that seem to stereotyping, offensive, whatever.

Kid's Series: [These could have extra accessories for compensating value.]
Peasant M ( I got 4 Hansels among my peasants! Need variety!)
Peasant F (Ditto for Gretl)
Gnome M (/Kobold)
Gymnast F
Robot M? (a la Future Planet)
Princess F (obligatory)
Space Alien M (maybe blue instead of black, if some want to keep the old ones super rare.)
Victorian F with hoop&stick
Ring bearer M (not Frodo: Wedding-type)
Flower Girl F
Super Hero Sidekick M
Super Hero Sidekick F
Fairy M (like mushroom-head boy)
Fairy (still obligatory) F
Cabin Boy M
Scullery Maid F
Soccer Player M (Insert other sport here...)
Tennis Player F (Insert other sport here...)
Spy Kid M
Mall (B)rat F

Gordos:

Weightlifter M
Diva F  (Needs a Gordo skirt, which AFAIK doesn't exist.  Could get re-used here a lot)
Dwarf M(the new obligatory)
Formally Dressed Expecting Mother F (at every wedding I have been to....)
Sumo M
Clown F
King in robe M

(...OK, this one starts devolving into snarkiness pretty quickly for me:  fast food worker, fat man on the beach, fat woman on beach, plumber, construction worker, etc, etc. That isn't what I'm going for, but every idea seems to be potentially mean.   Maybe only 1/2 a Series of Gordos would be enough?  Or maybe  my PlaymoFriends can help complete a whole series tastefully...)

Speedo

Skinny Jeans dad M
Yoga Woman F
Superhero M
Superhero F

A fat skirt would be AMAZING. Both for pregnant women and men - think ancient.

I still think the figures should be by theme. Though you make a VERY valid point. The fat guys are bad, compatibility wise, but the speedos.. only the darn heads are "normal". Even the freaking arms are GENDER SPEEDO specific. How nuts is that!?

Well, if there were more options, that'd ve a good thing.

if they make EDIT : COWARD SADISTIC BULL TORTURERS, we just think of him as an actor and hope kids won't ask.

I am still convinced that playmobil won't go THAT low.

OK, Tahra.  Since I am always looking for more Castle civilians, lets do a

FI?URES FAIRY TALES with child bodies:

Jack with empty pail, head bandage, 3-ish small construction boulders.
Jill with filled pails and____?
Rumpelstiltskin with spinning wheel, straw mat, gold bars.
Princess with stool, frog, golden plates, etc
Peter Piper with piccolo and basket of cucumbers
Miss Muffet with chair, bowl, screen with printed spider (from Keyholder Gnome)
Jack II with vine (rose bush, 2 extensions?) hatchet, golden loot
Goldilocks with table, plates and utensils, and bear cub
Gingerbread Man (Boy) with ____?
Peter with wolf, gun, horn,
Bo Peep/Mary  with little lamb,   ___?

It's a start.  Most of my fairy tale knowledge is of Western European tales and nursery rhymes.
Most of the bags created above would need more accessories, IMO...

All for it - even the ones I don't know :)

That would be even better - by theme AND body type!

I agree, castle civilians is a great idea, anything that can add a touch more realism and these suggestions sound fun! :)

I'd like some garden gnomes.
Basically the current christmas elf but with a beard and various accessories. A female gnome with the same type of shoes would be wonderful too.

A hobbit character - would have victorian style clothing but instead of shoes have hairy feet.

I'm also wanting castle civilians - everyone is either a knight or a princess.
What I'd like to see are the braids currently used for asian ladies and American indian warriors in blonde or brunette for medieval women. I'm just not sure what could go in the hole at the top of the head.
