Hello  Gordon

Yes i think it is a very good cause to have a Police escort on this particular road  ;D. Who know's what might happen, a few years back a goat ran in front of a truck and caused a very nasty pile up

Hello  David

Thank you for your kind reply, i really appreciate your feedback. I cannot imagine the chaos that was caused when those trucks had to go back all that way !! I would imagine that the haulage company in question picked up a hefty fine and the bill for the Police assistance.

Regards  Tim  :)

We call large trailers with heavy loads slug catchers, they travel that slowly, that only slugs get squashed under their wheels ;D

Heavy loads can cause all kinds of problems, we had one on the A180 a long time ago now when the driver realized he wasn't going to fit under a bridge. So somebody I know had to go out let the tyres down on the truck and trailer just enough to let the load pass under the bridge, then re-inflate them all the other side.

There was over 30 tyres on it, it took half a day.
I'm only human, born to make mistakes.

 If only you could see the image that popped into my head when i read this Garry hehehe

I bet that incident with the trailer and the bridge caused some disruption. I can only imagine how frustrating it would be letting down and then inflating 30 truck tyre's. I have found it frustrating enough doing 4 car tyres

Hello  Rob

Thank you for the kind feedback, it is really appreciated. I would certainly take up the offer of moving one of your mansion's. Infact i have seen pictures of houses being moved by road before !!  :)
