Woody from Klickywelt shared a new promotional figure: Frederick, Margrave of Brandenburg-Bayreuth.

The promo figure is being sold on the webshop of the Friedrich–Alexander University, which the Margrave founded.

It's priced at € 2.99, but shipping costs seem to be hilariously high for all EU countries – other than Germany obviously.

Seems Geobra is now developping / releasing exclusive historical figures "by the minute"...   8}
We asked for them back in the days of the PCC... only thing Zirndorf seems to forget -  or not able to do -  is to make them easily available and not only for people in a few specific countries.

Indeed, 15 euro for shipping to Belgium, 19 euro for shipping to France!!   :o  8}
And they don´t accept orders for less then 25 euro (shipping-cost excluded), so at a price of 2,99 euro per figure you have to buy 9 of them at least. It´s like it is intended for "re-sellers only"  >:(

Hopefully he´ll later on show up in the official Playmobil-shops (of some other countries) as well, like Goethe and Bach...  :crossed:

He looks great! I'm in for three on any group order. I tried on the site and it said a minimum order of 25E to the USA, tried ten and it said
€ 27,64 - price for klickies
€ 94,03 - shipping to USA

Let's wait for Daniela. Otherwise I'm ready to organise a group order. Shipping (without the box, as max. thickness is 3 cm) 8,89 € max. worldwide (but EU and elsewhere much cheaper).

I think a stick would have been more appropriate than a sword for the klicky, as he's presenting some sort of document in his role as founder of a university. Better would have been BOTH stick and sword, as this picture.

I've wondered the same myself for things which are restricted to the German market or have exceptionally high postage costs on them and the Rijksmuseum is guilty of that too.

Spot on! The hair is a good match, nice. So it's a cuirass he's wearing, wonder if the print will work without the jacket too.

It's a printed torso. At least  I never thought it could be something else...

I'm afraid I failed to make clear what I meant in my previous comment.

If I had not seen the painting, I wouldn't have guessed that the torso print was a cuirass (thought it might be some kind of vest?). I hope such print is complete so that it can be used in customs even without a jacket to cover it up, unlike the torso from Series 13 butcher and Series 15 sleepwalker.

Sorry, I missunderstood  :-[   I seriously doubt the torso is printed on the back... but I would love that too!

I am sorry, I wasn´t online here for a little time. So I missed this thread.

Surely, I would have done it, but I suppose, St.John will do it as good as me and everything is fine.  ;)

Just for the future, if there is a German Special figure, you want me to do a collectors offer, just PM me and I will do what ever I can.

I am a little bit away from Playmobil at the moment (more at Sylvanian Families) and life is very busy, so I just pop in here a few times a month and may miss some topic.

It is a very nice figure: I like the cream-coloured coat and the printing. The leg sculpt is perhaps not refined enough for a prince, though. And he needs some cuffs, and a baldrick - because you just cannot found a university with a sword in hand.

Very interesting, St.John! The University now has a most unwieldy name, I expect it is known as FAUEN? Some UK Higher Education institutions do this (UWE, UMIST, UWIST, UEA and others).
