What's this? (Stick/rod?)

Little Jo:
(I think, it's quite difficult to find a meaningfull subject name in this category, because actually I do not know what this is about ;))

What should I say: have a look at the photo. The color is the typical light brown/tan. (Oh, maybe the hint that it is approx 12.5 cm / 4.9 inch long)

Any hints on what this is and from which set it is are appreciated.

playmofire:
The two thicker pieces towards the end suggest hand holds and it looks like the sort of stick that a Japanese fighter might have in something like kendo.  (I think that's the right sport.)

Little Jo:
Hm, but I have never seen such a set (and I read the Playmobil Collector more than once ... maybe I missed this).

Hm  ^-^ When I look closer to the rod, I'm not sure if it is "complete": the one end without the handles looks somehow broken. Could it be that this is the oar of the viking ship with the blade missing? Maybe somebody familiar with the viking sets can confirm this.

playmofire:
That sounds like what it is.  The two thicker end pieces are hand holds and the bit to the left of them is where the oar would go in the rowlock.

Sylvia:
I wondered if it might be incomplete. ;)

My first impression was that it looked a bit like a viking spear minus the spearhead, something like the one in this set, but I wasn't sure if the size matched with what you had given.

I'm fairly sure the viking oars have no decoration on the shaft, but I could be wrong. :-[
