Klicky frames and heads

I've got a couple of those multi-sets (9829 and 9855), which always seems a waste of good parts! What do you guys normally do to get spare frames (I'm using Tahra's term 'cus I don't know how else to refer to it!) and heads? Is it just an ebay thing?

Once upon a time you could order frames and heads. Now I occasionally use eBay to get such parts but more often disassemble figures and sell the parts that I don't need, keeping frames, heads (and hair).
