WOW! I think this speaks volumes for Geobra's concern for the US market. I never had a chance to go to the Funpark. While visiting a friend in Orlando I drove down but didn't make it before the place closed that day. I wonder what will happen to all the lifesize figures and props. Will there be an auction?

Well so much for going in the spring...
I'm glad that I'm not the only one :)

The announcement seemed to come out of nowhere which is odd but not unusual with Playmobil. I think there was huge missed opportunity since the Funpark carried the entire line one year before the rest of the USA received the new releases. They could have capitalized on this somehow but then I have to remember there aren't that many collectors in the US compared to other parts of the world. The bigger question is it was possible logistically to have the new releases in Florida at the same time as Germany, then why can't the entire country receive the items at the same time?

I know there was a Funpark in Orlando that didn't last long and there was a Funstore in New Jersey that was short-lived. This one has been opened since the 90's (I think). :eh?:

Iíve just never had time to get down there. I might give them a call and see if they would be willing to ship (if they have a couple items).

Too bad that they didnít include this news in their most recent newsletter.
I'm glad that I'm not the only one :)
