Just looked through it with A. (my five year old). On seeing there were no pirates she shouted 'BORING!'

There's your customer feedback Brandstätter. I hope you're listening.

I take it you’re a relatively new collector, aren’t you? So how about collecting the old stuff instead? PM will never get better than the mid-90s golden era, and many things from that period are still relatively cheap on ebay.

As for me, really looking forward to the Aston Martin, but that’s about it.

Thank you!

The only new set is the mermaid one (70886), right? On page 72... (of the cat, not the pdf)

Ruby's hair in blonde....  Gods. WANT. WANT. WANT. WANT. WANT.
(wallet has started with the insults)

(also.. WHY are the brats in the cover?! BLHARGH. That must be the worse cat cover EVER?)

Thanks for the notice.

Pff... The Aston Martin is really cool, but at 80 euro... That is the German price, in Belgium it will be at least 85 euro.
A-Team I watched as a kid, but I´m not gonna buy in Playmo-form every TV-series or Movie I ever saw as a kid. Again 80 euro or more, just for a van...
Enterprise starship... Well, I´m not gonna get rid of my collection of big sailships to make room for such a big Trekkie-ship, how nice it might look. Whistles & bells (App) probably won´t function anymore in just a few years. And 500 euro (or more in Belgium)...

I guess I´ll buy just one special.  ;D  :omg:

Has the orange adventure van been canceled?
It was supposed to come out in July, but never did and it's not in the new catalog.

I was hoping to see pictures of the actual toys for the James Bond and A-Team sets.

Spock does have ears!
At a quick glance, Chekhov and BA are also sporting new hairstyles.

Chekov looks like he has the hair from the Super 4 scientist that came with the Skyjet (6691). I don't think that they reused that hair yet.

Chekov?  For moment I thought they'd introduced a Russian playwrights series!

I was corrected on THAT site  :-[ - starter sets are also new (page 39)

Besides Face/Hannibal...

Thank the Gods it doesn't appear the same as the super 4 geek (good eyes, Redmao) - I really don't like it.. For a moment I wondered if I was really senile... cause I didn't see it as the same when the pics showed up...  :P

Yeah series 20 has some good ones, especially those day of the dead figures. I’m looking forward to the new BTTF advent calendar. Everything else......meh. I’ll probably end up needing some for one reason or another though.

There are actually a number of limited edition sets sprinkled in there.
Mars Mission, Pirates, Farm, Fire, Garbage/Recycling truck, Construction, Mermaids
All reused parts, but new coloration on many bits here and there

Most new animals are in the fairy theme, but the mermaids have new color dolphins.

Tara the mearmaid you mean from the set 70886. Does you mean the mearmaid wit the blond hair. Is not the Dame hair that Ruby from the Dino Rise  Set spinosaurus have.

I mean the blonde one in front, nearer that purplish ridiculous baby wagon (attached) - that's Ruby's hair (well... to me, I name them when they show up, and that one appeared with Ruby)... didn't see it in a Dino Rise klicky - which set?

It's about time that they started to reuse the new hair that came out during the Super 4 days.
The Dark Prince's hair have shown up in a new police set, but I wish that they would release it in several colors.

The one new novelmore figure looks an awful lot like an orc of some sort, I imagine this is part of the new skeleton line? Or might we be getting a fun line of orc-like creatures?

So is this the first official WWII item ?

I’m not sure kids will know that the white of the launcher is supposed to represent some sort of fire extinguishing foam . To me it looks like a kid would interpret this as “shoot the bomb to make it go away” …..which is quite an effective response. Collateral damage a plenty

I think a better alternative would have been a simulated remote controlled rover with the grapple arm

I really like that bomb.   For some reason.

And I love the fact that the back part is made of the triple fort connector and envelopes. Hopefully, it's not bronze quality...

I don't think so.... nice!  No idea about the game, it involves whacking balls with a hammer/mallet thing through those hoops, I think?  (seen in.... some cartoon.. Alice in Wonderland, maybe?)

Yes, it features in Alice in Wonderland. And yes, you have the jist of it. I've only played it once but I think you have to get them through in a certain order. I don't think we've had the mallet before either, but my knowledge is not encyclopaedic!

Not THAT mallet - would never guess what the thing is if not in use... My (poor) memory is of a "normal" mallet... not a strange contraption.

I think it would have been possible to make a proper croquet mallet, this one is more of an x large headed golf club

In Disney's Alice in Wonderland the mallets were flamingos, the balls were hedgehogs and the hoops were playing cards. I think those were in Lewis Carroll's original too. Makes for a much more interesting game than ordinary croquet (not to be confused with crotchet).

Yes, they were lifted from the book. I think Disney was relatively faithful, except that he took elements from both books and amalgamated them.

A very common experience for German kids, though. The bomb defusers provide essential services, as is demonstrated on occasion: Sometimes the incendiaries don't get noticed, like today in my city, where building works set off a 250 kg American bomb, luckily still buried 2 or 3 meters underground. Yet the blast almost tore off the leg of a construction worker. :( More info in the Sueddeutsche (https://www.sueddeutsche.de/muenchen/muenchen-fliegerbombe-explosion-donnersbergerbruecke-hauptbahnhof-s-bahn-1.5477637)

I've just had a look at the video and the Dell advert before it rather unfortunately features a series of explosions.

I might have missed this, so I'm not sure if it's actually new to this catalogue, but I am appalled by the fact the Playmobil marketing team thought it was necessary to brand PINK stuff for girl babies specifically. The 1-2-3 range at least didn't cater to culturally imposed sex preferences... past tense  :hmm:
