Who makes those figures tahra? I'm guessing China but they could be Korean too based on the style.

You're right, they are. I'd forgotten they existed and I see they started making them again in 2010. I recall some thread here now which showed the hair clipping onto the ears. :-[

"Playmobil’s German workforce is unionised and had lodged formal complaints against the management of the now-former CEO Höpfner. Among the allegations were difficult working conditions..."
This may seem reasonable but this is also why companies tend to send such jobs to places like China. Not only is it cheaper but the workforce is more compliant.

Almost all of his figurines are produced in his factories in Germany and Malta, and only 5% are made in China.

I didn't know any were made in China. As far as I'm concerned this is the end.

I read somewhere that Geobra has had some parts made in China for quite a few years, but that fact was kept from HB! Many things have changed since his passing!
At that moment the ship suddenly stopped rocking and swaying, the engine pitch settled down to a gentle hum. 'Hey Ford.' said Zaphod, 'that sounds good. Have you worked out the controls on this boat?' 'No,' said Ford, 'I just stopped fiddling with them.' (With thanks to Douglas Adams)

Some vehicles were made in China - and it showed!
