Thanks for the review, Michael. That's a very interesting set but I'd have thought its appeal is limited a bit - Germany/Austria/Switzerland rather than worldwide.

Thanks Michael!
I've seen the sets in shops here, but it's the first time I noticed the new "aprons" the ladies are wearing, they could come in handy... :)

Thanks for the review, looks like a great set! Just a question, from which set is the boy figure with the green hat?

My favourite pieces: the bells around the animal's necks, the skull, the bar and the beer glasses

Oh and I like the colours too.

Thanks for the pictures!

Great theme!  I especially love the cows, not so in love with the headgear, but love the cows!   Can't wait until it is sold here in the US.

Thanks for the detailed pics!

The green colour of the Tirolers' kneetrousers looks darker then the green pants of the pirate in the blister with the redcoat-soldier.
Does the green of the Tirol-kneepants perhaps match the green colour of the green Wise King? There are lots of shades of green and I'm searching for long pants with boots or kneetrousers with shoes that have exactly the same green colour of the wise king.

Michael, as a Maestro of customizations do you see it possible to expand with a few cuts. To make it longer/wider not deeper? Also could it go up w/two stacked up. Now not an answer please like "Oh anything is possible in customising world"  ;) for an average person who is not a molding master.

I would love to see this taller and w/more rooms for a sort of mountain resort hotel. Then a bar with all the barrels small and large and many taps on the counter. Girls carrying full trays of frothy wooden or the remade thick glass steins. Maybe the wooden mirrored bar behind this new counter?

Hi, I just posted on the other thread about this, but I can clearly see the upstairs being a private dining room, and a rather larger beer garden in front. The bigger this place can be, the better.

It's always great to see more Playmobil sets with (root and ginger) beer for kids!

They should have made or included the foam for the mugs.

I think some of these figures could make civilians for the Knights theme.

Thanks for all the close-ups. Great to finally see the decorations on the cows up close. I'm sorry to see so many stickers used, though. :( Like for the food on the plates, this would have been a great time for them to produce actual pretzels. And the fire is a sticker too, I see. I really hope that trend doesn't catch on.

Thanks for the pics!

I love the cows and their head-dresses! The barmaid is also a great figure. But yeah, I'm not too fond of the overuse of stickers either.

I'd gues that the cows set wont sell very well, but that lodge will sell good all over the world.

I am planning on getting at least 2 cow sets once they are sold here in the US.  Hope they make it here!

I hope they do too! The head dresses are a really nice novelty item, but the cows are great, nice variety of colors for the new style.

Do the head dresses come off? They look as though they snap on behind the horns.

I love it!
I can't wait to get one  ;D

Smugglers hideout in the mountains or spy head quarters? WHo knows, but I have a whole year to make up my mind.

Yes they come off. There are some pictures at Animobil/animoblog sent by Jonas in France of the cattle and the alpine wildlife.

If you are going that route it seems like spy theme to me. Just an innocent restaurant up in the alps but with a secret headquarters underneath reached via the outhouse that is really an elevator. :D

Lots to like there the crystal clear beer glasses, the cows with their interesting and colourful headresses by heck the goats are quite cute as well, oh and for me the walking sticks coming from a ramblers family borught up on walking they'll be useful for settups and customs  ;).   As for the people they're all nice liking the woman and little kid in the purple dresses, little kid in leidenhausen cute and the men are great with the caps and trousers loving those sleeves  :)

Actually, the cows are the one set from this theme that I'm definitely planning on getting. I'm not sure if I'll be able to splurge for the lodge itself.

It'd have to be a new bit for foam, one that were beer colour inside and white on top ...

As for civilians, I believe their legs would need to be changed. Those legs are too modern to medieval ... I've attached pictures I consider more proper (not necessarily in those colours though). Or bare feet with sandals would as well do.

So it is true then ... There IS a new model of common klicky hair. It wasn't any weird effect on the photoshop-worked picture ...
Now howdoyelikethat? ::)

Noticed that when I saw a magazine darkster (posted on the PROCESS someplace) - it's not so different that really makes a change. I like them.. Then again, I quite like the original triangle cut...

The updated classic hair style has a little movement in it which is pretty cool.
It's a subtle variation.

This theme is neat. I got it from the Amazon Germany site a week or so ago. What I plan on adding is an Alpine ground-cover base, which should be easy to find at a train hoppy shop. I just haven't looked yet.  I also added the two figures from the mystery series to it.  As far as the 'food', I'm going to dig out some of the sausages and if I recall, pretzel rolls, for 3 dimensional props.  Once these sets reach the US next year, I'll order more figures, and maybe put together a band, with a tuba no less :**:.

Sounds like a great project  :D

I'm still not sure if I should buy it. It looks very nice on its own, but I don't see it matching the other stuff I have, except for the game keeper's lodge (4207) of course.

Hmm, I love the interior, the fireplace and wrap around seating.  This will make a nice vacation spot for some of my klickies.
