Reminiscing Rocketeer:
Hello All,

Like most I got into playmobil as a child, then went off to college, work, life, etc but I always had very fond memories of waking up Christmas morning to see what new sets my parents had gotten my brother and I.

After spending nearly two decades in New England my family and I moved back to Ohio to be closer to my parents. My mother had saved all our Playmobil and like a good Nana got it all out for my kids to play with. This rekindled an interest in not only myself but her as well, to collect and build, not just for the looks on my kids faces but just for our own enjoyment.

Now that we are older we wanted to do some fun projects together and customize things, near every time I want to explore what was out there and what people were doing this community kept coming up. I've been reading up on making molds and such for some custom castle pieces I want to make for my mom and our castle project, as well as some replacement parts for a couple ships she has.

Eventually though I want to do a space complex launch facility diorama. As my handle suggests I am kind of a space rocket enthusiast and when I discovered this site and all the wonderful dioramas people have made the first thing that came to mind was to later on build out a custom launch complex like NASA's Cape Kennedy.

First though castles, looking forward to learning some mod and customization tricks and getting into the community.

Hi R.R.,

welcome to our little corner of the w.w. Web.

Always nice to hear a fellow Playmoholic re-discovering their childhood.

All the best,

Mark (aka Bogro)
