Hello All
Some of you might be familiar with a truck (set 3935) that Playmobil produced for the construction theme. It comes in the form of a truck and trailer which is used for transporting diggers and other heavy equipment to construction sites. Inspired by this vehicle and the fictional transport company Transport International i decided to take things further and expand on the theme with my own conversions.
My first big project was to create a truck capable of pulling very heavy loads and so the 10 wheeler was born. This model was created using a stretched truck chassis and is based on a real 10 wheel truck. Most of you will probably have seen this custom before but i thought it would be a good addition to our new board. To make it a little bit more interesting i went out in the frost this morning and took some new pictures.
Regards Tim

Here is a size comparison with a regular truck from set 3935. As well as being longer the 10 wheeler has additional equipment behind the cab in the form of extra fuel tanks and a second radiator. The second radiator is added to cool the extra equipment used to make the truck more powerfull.

It looks very good, if you had not told it was customized I would believe Geobra made it :)
Thanks for posting, Tim :)

Good idea to start afresh Tim so everyone on the board can see the development from the start
I hadn't noticed the extra tank on the custom before Tim btw.

That's exactly what I thought the first time I saw it! :D
The "Vehicle Specialist" title on your profile is very apt, I must say. It's obvious a lot of work and planning went into this and the end result speaks for itself. 8-)
Thanks for braving the frosty weather in order to take these photos for us. ;)

Hi Kristian, Gordon, Sylvia
Thank you very much indeed for the very kind feedback. I have a few more projects to share with you in the 'Transport International' theme but i am trying to spread them out a bit. One of them is new and has never been seen on forums before. Infact i will go and present it now :D,
Kindest Regards Tim
