Interesting, I like the pizzeria set a lot. The space carry box is different form the Mars one currently out here in the US, which is interesting. Hopefully it will be here too. The US market doesn't get the Top Agents theme the last few years. Wonder if there will be new NHL sets or if they will replace with something else.

Thanks for the news.
Luckily (for my wallet) those new sets which are not from the Heidi Theme are non-historical...
The pizzeria looks indeed very nice. The tables remind me of a typical old French bar ("Café René" style), they would fit perfectly with that French/Paris Promo figure we got a view of recently...

Let's hope that we'll get these new agents sets as they look fantastic. Perfect for the Canadian winter. I was very sad when we didn't get the latest Agents theme. It even has a section on the Canadian website, but it's sits there, empty.
While I always liked Playmobil, it's the original Top Agents sets that brought me back full force.
Combined with the Treasure Hunters, I created a team of adventurers ready for any... well, adventure.

Back on topic, many of these new sets are pretty cool, but I was looking forward to the Galaxy police... oh well.

What are those pencil things in the school set? If they're pencils, what are the holes in them for?
Another new bread too - dark brown version of the round bread that came with the food truck (70134).

I think the man in the store is a regular figure, the fat ones can't fit those aprons, the fatties get the apron that goes around the back of the neck.

I think they are pencils.. that's probably from the mold?

I am pretty sure about the legs being the fat ones.. and I don't think the apron is particularly well adjusted to him... besides, may be one of those things.. YOU know that. I know that. WE know that. Whoever they get to do these does not. (like the guy who did a shepherd with space boots.. REALLY?!)

Don't suppose you or anyone else has a similar apron and a fat guy handy to check how well they fit together?

Farmer and space boots? Do you mean the old green one with red clip on boots? Can't say I liked that figure much.

I really hope he's a fatty! I can use the legs for some customs. Unfortunately the figures will not be sold separately, so I guess I'll have to wait if the set is on sale in Galeria Kaufhof.

The largest-size pictures are several megs each (or used to be - these are not so bad!), and I was finding, when I hosted copies, that they slowed down the site and ate my bandwidth pretty quickly. (Even some thumbnail files are that size - I re-save them slightly compressed for significant savings.) I do download and keep the large images though, in case I want to crop a closeup for parts pictures.

bml87 has embedded them directly from the official site, so if you want them, save them to your local storage - they will disappear eventually. However, glad you did so, Boris, to show us, for the time being!

Are you sure? Because I search sets (released after 2009) now and then and all of them are still online. At least the box pictures, as for example this set from 2009:
https://media.playmobil.com/i/playmobil/5871_product_box_front

But for the box pictures you have to change the link into:

https://media.playmobil.com/i/playmobil/XXXXXX_product_box_front

All sets before 2009 are in the so called product archive on the German and French websites. Those pictures are indeed in low quality unfortunately...

Ah, I ignored all those sets because I'm unfamiliar with milka and they're not a theme I'd normally collect. If it'd been cadbury maybe.

Oh, it's likely they'll stay put for a good while - but, no guarantees, is the thing. The Katalog-Archiv I ALMOST missed downloading before it disappeared - I managed to recreate the URLS but it was a giant pain, not just the changing of a number. I now make sure to hoard away just about anything useful I can get, while it's still there! Anyway, glad to see the new catalogue - off to verify names and release dates.

The box pictures are also online!

Here one example, you can see the old cash machine in the upper right corner and the man is probably a fatty.

Yes, he is - the legs are different.. it's just hard to believe something like this...

This is SO ridiculous.  WHO makes these!?

Ridiculous because of the apron? Or what do you mean exactly? Because I think the legs and boots are nice, no?

About the apron, maybe they took this one because there's a nice print on his shirt perhaps? And they didn't want to make a new mould yet for the fatties (an apron that you can take of).
Title: Re: Novelties 2019 - 2nd half!
Post by: tahra on August 01, 2019, 18:26:15
Ridiculous because of the apron?

Because that apron clearly doesn't fit. THERE is a fat apron. Do they know this? It's.. baffling.

With the amount of different molds created (sometimes we need stuff side by side to see the difference...) - either make a new one, or use the old one.

Or make the guy non fat (I don't remember the character at all... I was a wee cub.. too lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng ago)

One that you can take of without popping the klicky? Or do you mean this one:

I could maybe use the old cash machine and the apron is quite realistic, although I think white might have been better.
Title: Re: Novelties 2019 - 2nd half!
Post by: Klickteryx on August 01, 2019, 19:24:54
I can see the top of the apron sticks out from the top of the body in those clearer pictures. Why not just make a removable fat apron? it would click around the neck like the fat armour, could even have a bit of shirt as part of the mould so the apron could have straps.
Title: Re: Novelties 2019 - 2nd half!
Post by: tahra on August 01, 2019, 20:16:46
One that you can take of without popping the klicky? Or do you mean this one:

I mean that one, yes... (we used to just cut a bit on the back, and there - removable)

Ah, I see, ok, he's fat - that stupid apron completely spoils the effect. Most people I believe will not notice - we recognize the leg mold as fat - and looking better, the apron "sides" are very far from their place..

I REALLY wonder who makes these decisions. And who approves this. Do they have ANY idea of the parts?  (the milka ones didn't, right? Or is that supposed to be a character that wears boots that look mostlt like those?)

Title: Re: Novelties 2019 - 2nd half!
Post by: Klickteryx on August 04, 2019, 22:50:52
Finally tried this combo. The apron sticks on but looks a little strange, mainly because the apron straps/belt around the waist are so short that if the arms are by the sides the apron straps have a big gap on the sides.
