My First Attempt at Painted Customs
« on: July 05, 2023, 01:54:22 »
I kept it simple; I haven't painted models since I was a teenager; the smell of Testors brought back memories. The hair is from Naruto Madara. I'm going to try to get 2 of the leaf "saddles| from 70806 & paint them in some appropraite color.

That looks good Jim. It's too bad the waist is so high on these. I get why, they had to make room for the skeleton part in a wide enough area, but the mold just doesn't quite work for me.

Great use of that beautiful hair :)

Ditto. They look great, but the proportions are all wrong... imo.

I don't get why - all it would take was a new part, that I've been craving since I made mine... then they FINALLY do it.. and botch it. Also.. WHY not on a horse?

The paintwork looks good! I agree that this isn't the best design though. I think your idea about adding the leaves could improve the look a bit. :)

Nice paint, Jim!  From your pix, I cant tell it was a painted part.  Very clean.

Yes, a real centaur would be a great addition to the Greek sets. However, I just found out that a half-human/half-deer creature IS a thing, at least in D&D. It's called a Cervitaur.

Thanks. The saddle paint is "rust." I'm going to make a few more cervitaurs using the antler with ears headdress.
