Yep. They don't want to stifle their kids' spirit. They want to let them be themselves. We have parents for a reason.
That's the thing though, they're not being themselves. They're just copying what everybody else in media is doing by subscribing to the easily-accessible digital universe, ads, commercials, public icons, rather than be creative and imaginitive and play with toys and OTHER KIDS as kids should be, while their parents say "don't bug me" while caught up on the computer updating facebook or playing farmville instead of interacting with their kids!
The media has become the surrogate parents for these children now.
