they look good ,the legs yes could be changed but what legs you have in mind  the only fat men legs match are the ones with the boots from the red beard pirate from 3940 http://www.igromag.ru/products_pictures/PM_3940B_b.jpg

and the plain legs with the other object that fits to the plain legs

They would not fit on those shoes...the spats would only fit older regular feet!
