What do you all think about this set?
-
I have never seen it before but it looks an absolute beauty! :inlove: :inlove: :inlove:
Damo :)

I liked it enough to get one after Richard first posted about it in September last year, I think it was $30-35 at my local TRU. They may still have some in stock.
The cabin is useful for several themes, and the old-fashioned fireplace goes well in many themes too.
p.s. It would really help if you could put the set number in the title of your post.

I got it recently from TRU. Honestly, I was a little disappointed in it as far as the cabin itself. It's really not big enough to do much with as far as I was concerned. Right now, I'm using it as a restroom for my zoo! I've also used it for an elephant barn, so I guess i do get some use out of it. But it was great for some of the accessories. Oddly enough, I bought that whole huge set mostly for the geese and the old style oak tree. The fishing pole was nice, too. I didn't really like the klickys in it.

I love this set. I have two of them because there are many useful parts. The floor makes a great dock for ships, the outdoor fireplace is awesome and there are many other things that are useful. :)
-
Is it still available in the USA? It hasn't been on the market here for years! (Holland).

I have always wanted it Baden but it has been outside my budget. I have searched for it and had it on my watched items in ebay many times so I could admire it.

It hasn't been available online here in the US in years, either, but recently a bunch of them hit the shelves in TRU, and I believe Target as well. They seem to be pretty much gone now, though.

How much did the sell for Bonniebeth?
-
Ah, a classic basic set.
Personally I liked it very much, but I wish I could get the parts more individually rather than as a group (mainly the racks).

Well, it's been a while. I'm not sure I remember. I think it was somewhere between 35 and 45 USD.
-
It was selling for 39.99 at TRU.
-
Yes, that sounds right.
-
Good price then!
-
very nice....would like to get one if I can go to US >:D
-
Great set!! I did not know it was still available!!! I love it and wish I had one too!!
-
I purchased just the cabin from Add Ons when it was available and the fireplace from the parts department. I find them to be quite versatile pieces for my historical themes.
-
I agree with many others here. I really like the parts that come with this cabin, especially the fireplace. I did a review of it a while ago with some pictures here:

Thanks Rufus, that was the review that got me along to TRU to buy this set!

Me too Martin. After this review I got off the sidelines and bought a couple of these great sets.

Yes, very good review. The no magnets thing is probably a result of the letigiousness of US society. Magnets are a serious hazard if swallowed because they can stick together through the walls of the intestines and cause perforation or serious infection. Of course, just don't let your kids swallow the magnets! :eh?:

i too love this set, a friend bought it for me earlier this year, and when work is horrid, i come home, set it up, and pretend that i am puttering about the lake in the canoe, looking back at my peaceful cabin. kaethe
