The Morion helmet is weird on that klicky...
but, if you replace it with a Roman helmet, then it becomes a good Roman figure. :yup:
As for the archer, sure, the stripes on his clothes are... interesting.
But I envision them as patches, ;)
Since medieval peasants would have patched their clothes before sewing a whole new tunic. :)
Steck is BACK! <:>

I would say it is 70%
Apart from the design, use of parts...the colour schemes are always BAD
The archer could have looked way better, but with those colour out from the rainbow, he just looks boring. The green older one just WIN!!!

80% of the specials released in recent years are mind-numbingly boring (if not downright ugly).

Among the most pedestrian and forgettable examples:

And I'm only sticking to the themes I'm interested in, here.

I could go on posting pictures of utterly redundant specials but I dont want to waste the forum's bandwith. Koko the gorilla could have come up with better stuff. I wonder if the guys who design these specials ever come in here.  ::)

Roman soldiers didn't have moustaches as far as I know.  ::) :P :P :P

Still ... I admire such positive attitude.  :)

I don't know. I have mixed feelings about that. The archers from the old 3889 were a very colourful bunch for eg, but they're still very nice figures don't you think?

Having said that I would really like to see PM use more 'drab' colours for their medieval themes, like brown and so on.

Too colourful for me...still.
I like the green special the best :-\
Using brown and other realistic colour really could stir up the whole thing and yield better balance IMHO

Brown, tan and black (maybe some green) should be the basis for most of these medieval klickies from a historical standpoint.

Independent of colors, the pot-belly kills that klicky for me.
Cheers!

Why? I don't mind it.

I would have liked to have had some fat Romans - plenty of them in Asterix. And maybe a fat emperor.

And I still want fat women klickies! Par condicio  ::) ::) ::)

well...if you see my customs you'll know I like browns, greens and dark colors, but this is a toy for KIDS... Kids won't get the brown lady or worrior... they'll go for bright colors. that's what gets their attention.  :-\
