A short time ao, Sylvia very kindly obtained the ADAC motorcycle patrol for me. When I set up a display, I have a maximum space on the display board of 8 square feet, and if there are buildings, then the space is obviously less because of these. Motorcycles, then, allow detail in the scene without taking up a lot of space (though you can't have too many or the scene doesn't reflect a real street).
Of the current versions of the modern motorcycle, I think the ADAC version is the best. It looks very smart in its black and grey/silver and yellow flashes, although the orange warning lights on the front of the model are paler than the photos suggest.
First then, the bike.

The rider next. Again, when the simplicity of the colour scheme is considered, the figure is very striking and there is a surprise (which you may already have spotted) - the rider is a woman. Nice one for equality of the sexes!
I'll post some more pics tomorrow night.

Thanks for your splendid report and and photos, Gordon!
Does the RAC have a similar program in the UK? The AAA (in the US) does not have anything like the ADAC.
All the best,
Richard

Thank you for your kind comments, Richard and Andi. I hope to finish the review tomorrow (today has been a long day driving).
Both the AA and RAC have road patrols who aim to make a roadside repair. There are quite a number of other such organisations too, e.g. Green Flag. In addition, and this probably applies in other countries, some car manufacturers provide a similar service through their retailers. So long as I have it serviced by Mercedes Benz, if my Merc breaks down I can call a dealer and they will come out to it, plus there are arrangements to get you to your destination if it can't be repaired there and then or provide overnight hotel accommodation for a given number of days while it is repaired. This arrangement lasts for 30 years from new.

Here are the final photos of the set.
First of all, the box front which is the standard Playmobil motorcycle design. The item in the rider's hand is, as we'll see, a portable satnav and not a football rattle! Not sure it's too conducive to road safety!
The box back shows the items in the set, plus guidelines as to sizes. (The blue lined squares are 1cm by 1cm.) Not shown is the little sheet of stickers for the bike - one with the wording for the windscreen and two of the satnav screen. As the latter is fiddly to fit, having a spare is useful.
Lastly, a photo of the satnav itself which has a nicely detailed sticker for the screen. As I had a spare, a quick check on the family car revealed a handy spot for it to represent a built-in satnav on the dashboard.
Thanks for your time in reading this review.

Oh, what a cool idea to use the sticker of the satnav as an in-car device.
-
It's a very neat little set!
I didn't notice the hand-held satnav device before. 8-)
Thanks for the detailed review and pics, Gordon. :)
And thank you also to Andi who tracked down the ADAC motorcycle set and sent it to me with lots of other hard-to-find goodies. :)9

Great review Gordon. I like that set, it's a nice paint scheme.

I had a WOW moment yesterday: Was going through some storageboxes of PM and found a MISB 4077. I soon realized it was different and got an adrenaline rush, as i was selling a similar set MISB on Ebay. Could it be i put the wrong box up????
I took my own MISB set out for comparison and found that the box was different on all sides.
It seems there were 2 different boxes released of the 4077:
