On our local ad site appeared an ad with the description "knights" and the word complete. With it was a tiny pic. I almost skipped the ad, untill I noticed the large barrel.
Waited for a while. I didn't get much views. Then contacted the seller, made a deal and today I got it. It is almost complete. Only one wrong squirrel. And there was an extra set with it, 3629 the huntsman.
I'm very very happy to get it. It is such a great set. I'm merry now!

I've aquired lots more nice stuff, but haven't had the time to photograph them yet.

Congrtatulations on a great buy. Like Bill, this theme isn't one I collect, but this set is one I'd gladly add to my collection if I had the chance.

Congratulations Ali Baba!!! This is an amazing set!!! Fantastic depiction of mediaval times!!!

Congrats! It is definitely a great set. Two things: you're even more lucky you got the 3629 huntsman so you can replace the Robin with it (that clicky was ugly). Then, the Sheriff looks better with a visor on his helmet, I can't figure why they didn't put one in the original set.
Cheers,
Arnaud

I do collect the medieval sets and I did get this boxed and complete (along with 3626 Merry Men Hideaway). It is one of my favourites. I congratulate you on getting it.

A lovely set..congrats~

I was just wondering if anyone knows why the smile and eyes of the priest in this set are inset vs. painted on? Is this characteristic of some of the older klickies? ???
-
Actually it's the other way around. The very old klickys, like only from the first few years, I htink, are painted on. The current ones are filled in from inside the head. You can't really tell from the outside usually, but if you take off the hair, the inside of the head is brown. I think it's called injection molding? Am I right, guys?

Yes that is correct Bonnie.
Only the first clickies had painted faces, now they are all injected. Now the only painted bits are the face features as beard, moustaches, eyebrows, glasses, lips, eyes (Cleopatra) and so on. :)
