Title: 3655 police beach buggy
Post by: Wolf Knight on July 31, 2010, 21:03:37
This was the last day of one of the toys shops, of which I am, or was, a regular customer!  :(
These past two months they were selling all their remaining playmobil at 40% discount! They will be merging this shop with another one in another part of the town.

I did get a lot of their remaining knights and romans but I also got this one:
(http://img37.imagefra.me/img/img37/8/7/31/baldthar/f_grpn4pq5m_b8c13e4.jpg) (http://imagefra.me/)

I had it on my sights for quite sometime now and this was a great opportunity to get it!
(http://img37.imagefra.me/img/img37/8/7/31/baldthar/f_grpn4pqwm_deeb48f.jpg) (http://imagefra.me/)

I have to admit that this is a very lovely set!!!! the buggy is about 9.5 cm or 3.6 inches (if my calculation is correct) and its hight is (to the highest point) 7 cm or 2.8 inches. Lovely lovely vehicle!!!
(http://img37.imagefra.me/img/img37/8/7/31/baldthar/f_grpn4pqxm_99c0063.jpg) (http://imagefra.me/)

Once I opened the box, I realised how small it is... and the back picture where you can see all the accessories, did not prepare me right for the actual thing!!!
(http://img37.imagefra.me/img/img37/8/7/31/baldthar/f_grpn4pqym_e633501.jpg) (http://imagefra.me/)
Meaning that, once out of the bag, the accessories look so many!!! One question remained...will all these fit inside the compartment?
Something else that seemed strange to me, the gun holster was not on the klicky...it was loose in the bag! So if you get this set, be carefull not to loose it!

Ok so here are some views of the buggy and the policeman!
(http://img02.imagefra.me/img/img02/8/7/31/baldthar/f_grpn4pr0m_3bd7716.jpg) (http://imagefra.me/)
he is actually quite a great klicky! I have not seen any other police klicky with the word police on its back!
(http://img37.imagefra.me/img/img37/8/7/31/baldthar/f_grpn4pr1m_141783c.jpg) (http://imagefra.me/)
and once you place him on the buggy the picture is so perfect!!!

I like tha fact that he is tan! It gives the real feeling that he is indeed patroling the beach!

And a couple of more views of the buggy and the policeman riding it!!!

back...

(all these are printed on the compartment btw and not stickers!! This makes it more fun, at least to me, to enjoy the small size and quick assembly of this set!!)

and front!!!

It's a great set, Panos,  I bought one in Malta some years ago when it first came out and had great fun trying it out on the marble corridors of the hotel.     The chassis now forms part of a fire brigade custom version.

Thank you for the review Panos.
While sorting through my 'spare' klicky drawer I came across this klicky but didn't know which set it was from.
You have answered  my question, so thank you for that too.  :)

What I like about the various buggies is that they accelerate at two speeds - start off slowly and then speed up.  Better still, the rate of acceleration is not the same for each one, so if you pull two different buggies back the same amount and then let go, one will rush ahead and then the other may pass it and then be passed itself later on.

Yes I noticed the slow accelaration of this on Gordon, but did not know of the difference between the various buggies!! Thanks! An experiment certainly worth trying!!!  ;)

Nobody will do it throughout Greece George! Maybe just the shops that are about to close and want to sell their stock more easily! As far as I can tell, only Jumbo sells playmobil at a very low price...and then its only 2 to five cents difference...
