Hi guys,
I was in a thriftshop a few days ago and spotted a box with old Donald Duck magazines from the seventies and eighties. As I was browsing through them, being a bit nostalgic, I discovered some nice old Playmobil advertisements. Since the magazines were Dutch editions, the adverts were in Dutch as well, but I think they are nice anyway regardless of the language, so I'll show them here (I scanned the pages btw):
There were 2 from 1978:

and one from 1979:

The last one is actually from a dairy product, where children had to draw the best cow in order to win a Playmobil medieval farmer set.
Those were the days...

:thanks:

I love those old-time promotional pictures using real straw and grass, like in the third one you showed. They look as if a real enthusiast made them and remind me of many of the dioramas seen on here and elsewhere, made by modern PM fans!
Those were the days...
Ah yes!

Indeed, those were the days - classic Playmoobil and people who knew how to pose and photograph it.
Thank you for sharing your finds and I forgive you for your nostalgia for Donald Duck.

I recently got a batch of old dutch Donald Duck magazines from 1974 and in some of them was the first advertisement for Playmobil with those very first black single klicky boxes:

These were just half-page adverts.
Fun fact: in the very beginning, toy stores were hard to convince about selling Playmobil, but a big dutch toy importer bought a whole years production and paid for it in advance, which meant that Playmobil was saved...
