But I still don't quite get why the Playmobil retired the circus set. At least I know what they could replace it with.

Hmmm...  this is a theme that didn't seem to sell well in the states- there aren't many real circuses around. 
But some years ago my wife got me most of the sets, with the exception of the big top itself.
They're great sets-  I am totally going to try to get a deal on the tent, I anticipate my kids will love them a few years in the future.

i don't understand the way playmobil works on these matters the 3627 should have been a very succesfull playmobil http://www.collectobil.com/catalogue/items/3627.htm but was on the market for only one year 94-95 but 3215 stupid set for me was in the market from 1980 to 1996 http://www.flickr.com/photos/anatchim/2773582083/   :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o

it's not so special perhaps you like it becuase you had it when you where little ,i had a lyra red one and an ambulace. playmobil was never made good cars with exeption the victorian ones!!!!!
