And some small group shots of the second body of pikemen, plus all the pikemen together, in what was known as 'hedgehog' formation...

And finally the leader of this faction, with his mounted household knights and standard-bearer.

Hope you like 'em!

Great customs, Andrew! :)  The first group looks quite frightening and formidable and I doubt anyone would want to face them on the battlefield.  Still, although the bright colors of the lion knights make them look less intimidating, I have no doubt the pikemen supported by the archers, men at arms, and knights would make quick work of the first group's cavalry charge.

I really like your use of the 4517 special's shield.
My favorite photo is the "Hedgehog" formation, so many pikemen! 8} ;D
Great customs as ever! Thanks for showing them. :)
One question,
Where did you get the blue "arm armor."
The thing that looks like pufffy sleeves. ???
I have seen white and silver, but not blue. Did you paint them?
Steck is BACK! <:>

Nice customs and groupings Andrew, I like the cohesive look of your forces. Thanks for sharing these with us, do you keep these figures together as they are or do you 'make and break' as you need them?

Hi,

Firstly, many thanks for your kind comments.

WoT: The blue puffy sleeves are original Playmobil, they're in the 3268 castle (see 30 24 8360 - Shoulder cover).

Gepetto: I try as much as possible to keep the figures and groups together as I go, rather than take them apart regularly to create new 'sets'. When I have the chance, I like to do some wargaming with the various groups I've collected (haven't had the time recently, but I may have some time off soon, so I might try then). Sometimes I'll make some changes to a few figures in a particular existing group, but I usually don't completely dismantle an entire 'affinity'.

Shall I post some pictures of how I've got them all stored?

Cheers,

AndrewL
