Further medieval customs
« on: March 21, 2010, 20:18:26 »
Dear All,

Here's a few more pictures of some of my customised medieval troops. I've had these guys for a few years now, but never quite got around to taking any photos of them... The first set of pictures are of the crossbowmen and foot soldiers. As always, I tried to have a clear pattern or template for colours, etc., but still make each figure individual.

Enjoy,

AndrewL

And here are the leader of this faction and his companions, first all mounted on their caparisoned horses, and then on foot.

Cheers,

AndrewL

I love them, Andrew! ...

As a Playmobil toy soldier collector (and sometime wargamer), I can really appreciate what you've created here, Andrew!

They're absolutely splendid.

And the beautiful part is ... they're replicable!

Andrew, thank you for sharing your imagination, your creativity and your wonderful ideas!

All the best,
Richard

These are excellent customs, Andrew!  They are varied, yet clearly part of the same group.  I never would have thought to use the scuba diver's torso for a warrior!

Great customs again Andrew!!!
I do not see the scuba divers suit though...?
I love this set of knights alot as well!
I have a few... but not too many,
Which is weird because they are some of my favorites... ???
At least I can still order them as Add ons! :yup: :hehe: ;D
Great customs, I cannot express how good your groups look!
(They must be impressive to look at on the battle feild. ;))
Steck is BACK! <:>

Another excellent group Andrew! This heraldry is another of my favorites, and fortunately the shields are still easy to obtain. Good to see the pavis shield used for its proper purpose, as Playmobil seem to have forget sometimes.

Batch3-05 third from the left. Early Medieval use of metal zipper for securing battledress.

Just kidding, it looks great!

I prefer to think of it as a set of laces or hooks and eyes on the front of a tunic or coat of plates, but perhaps I've let my imagination wander a bit...

Anyway, glad folks like this latest batch.

Cheers,

Andrew

A very impressive and interesting company of knights you made Andrew! I tend to do the same with my custom knights. Keep the same colors but altering facial characteristics and hair. It gives cohesion, yet shows the different personalities these people have. Very nicely done!!!
