A second opinion please
« on: October 25, 2011, 10:26:14 »
I'm pretty sure the items in the second picture aren't playmobil but before I throw them away a second opinion would be great.

Number 2 is a table and 6 is a toy car.

On the other picture:
The hat is from, I think:
http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showinv.pl?setnum=5400
But does anyone have any ideas as to why it might have a famobil sticker on it?

Number two I have no idea.
3 looks to be a funnel from a train or something similar but I can't find it on PlaymoDB.
Number 4 is a newspaper but the stickers on it are about 'pony info'.

Hope you can help,

Here we go!

Number 1 It may well be originally Famobil (if so from a different set, maybe western, as there where no Victorian Famobil sets) or just got a sticker from something stuck on it

Number 2 is a piece of K'nex

Number 3 is from a caboose 7524 - Caboose (no track) (not necessarily this one, but there were many) I think it also came with a cottage or advent calender for the stove :-\

Number 4 is the newspaper that came in set 3148 - Motorhome

Nothing from the second picture is Playmobil I'm certain

Wow that was quick!

So I can put number 2 on the 'non playmo pile'?
The newspaper makes sense as the tables and chairs from that set came in the same lot.   :-[

I don't mess around when it comes to parts identification ;

Unless you have K'nex? you could put it with that :P. I remember K'nex, and I'm suprised that didn't ban it because of the injuries sustained to your hands whilst assembling/dis-assembling it

I remember when I bought that motorhome set new in the 90's. We hadn't yet realised their were newspaper stickers, and do you think we could work out what that funny creased white thing was?

One more question.  Can I put this:
http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showpart.pl?partnum=k3465e

In with the camper van set.  Is it the same figure?

Probably from a boat, not western, me thinks. There were several pirate/naval soldier sets with those hats. The sticker probably a stupid kid put it there.

Are you sure? Not saying it isn't - I'm not familiar with knex. There's a playmobil part that looks like that, but I think the insides are different.. and not sure about the size - it was to do with the masts of the boats.

Nothing from the second picture is Playmobil I'm certain

Funny, I have a table JUST like that one!

The hat is probably from an old freetime set, similar to this one: 3573 - 2 Radfahrer

Trust me, it definately is ;)

I think it's vintage Fisher Price if I remember correctly

Didn't remember the bycicles.. Yeah, could be from there too.. Still more inclined to the pirate sets. The one in the bikes seems white (don't have it), and probably no stickers.. Many of the pirate sets had stickers.. and they were yellow.

The one in that set is white, I just used it as an example.
