That's a wonderful collection you have, Martin :xmascheer:

I love the way you have displayed them in those cabinets of yours

I also love the ADAC theme, although I haven't got the full set. That ADAC motorbike is a great little set, especially with having the female rider.

Btw, what the bike like in the 'classic wheels' box behind the motorbikes. Is it as detailed as the Harley (type) bike on the front?

Damo <*)

Thnx all.
No, that box needs another place probably. It's a gift i got from my mom a long time ago, it's a limited edition puzzle in a tin-box. Very nice one.
These 2 ADAC vehicles are 2 seperate sets, there is another complete superset, including a plane, but that one doesn't include the service car 4071, but the 4078.

For me it's all about the motorcycles and what's related to my job. Also have the 3992 bike repair shop MISB, still very much in doubt if i should open it  :-[
I'm still looking for some rare and different motorcycles, like the ones from the US police sets like:

Also for some older klicky sets, like the 3488;3401;3231 and 3232.
When i buy those sets, i can give the stations to my kids and keep the bikes  ;D ;D  that will keep my wife happy  :P

Hi Martin, you have the one from 3623. It's the Harley style with the darker paint on the windshield.

The bikeshop is a nice set. Comes with all kinds of tools too aside from the two nice looking bikes.  :)

For some reason I was collecting playmobil bikes as a kid too, they seemed cool. Now I am sticking to medieval and pirates though.  :knight: :captain:

Well, here's an update on my collection. Still waiting for some more special bikes coming, but that won't be a problem.
Just bought me another display-case just as i have now, just need to pick it up next week.

Also figured i could make a split level in the cases with a glass-plate.  That would greatly increase my room for the bikes
Not all my new "normal"bikes are in the display-case, due to lack of room.

Okay, first some updated pictures:

Overview of the bikes:

Police Bikes:

Emergency and touring bikes:

What i found comparing the two gray police bikes 4262 and 5180 is that the latter one, clearly is less in quality and look&feel. It's more plain as the 4262. Here's a picture from the side of the 2 next to eachother:

 :hmm: :hmm: :hmm:

this is weird, look:

The grey bike has a number plate on the rear: 4262, the box says 4261
The white version has license plate nr: 4261 and the box is 4262.

PM mixup ?!  :eh?:

I was selling off some redundant 4261's and one person mailed me saying i got it wrong. Now i was looking at my own pics and something triggered me, but i couldn't quite grasp it, untill i looked at both bikes and boxes. weeeeeeiiiiiiird......

You have a very impressive and very well displayed collection there, Martin.

Of the modern police bikes, I think I still prefer the one at the end on the right.  I have about four which I have customised with striping and POLICE signs and blue lights.

I also see the rear luggage rack with the flashing light is quite different from the picture on the box.  Must have been a picture of the prototype.

It is a very nice collection of bikes.  Lots of variations and variants made over the years.

Nice you're making me like bikes even more now you've got some sweet ones in your collection including the nice british 1980's/1990's Police bike which I've also got a nearly complete one of, I like the suit on the modern red bike and the guy on the yellow bike with the bright scarf  :)
