I find the utensils very pleasing for some reason.

She looks good, though Playmobil could put a little more love into the bunnies and deer. I mean they look like lawn ordiments one solid color with no added detail, at least they took the time on the racoon.

There's a tension in Playmobil between abstraction and detail. The movement over time has been towards more detail. Recently updated animals have been ever more detailed (see e.g. horses and sheep). The unpainted ones definitely stick out in this set.

Well all things come with time. The details will come eventually. Like with these:

The Pirate Duo Pack 5945 features the 2 klickies & their gear, plus the hatted skull. The rest is from the Super 4 Ruby Fort, which makes a good pirate setting.

House with Barn & Museum
« Reply #44 on: August 08, 2016, 13:50:54 »
I had a great day on Saturday - I found Medieval House with Barn & Medieval Museum, both in storage at a local toy store, & going for the original prices - $49 for the Museum & $59 for the House. The owner says he has more old stuff in storage, so I'll think I'll be discovering some others soon.

That's the "bagged" re-issue of the museum, right?

It came in a brown cardboard box with a # label - that's an add-on, right? ??? It's the one that came out within the last couple of years, just before I started collecting. It was on the Playmobil US site the first time I went there a year ago, but disappeared shortly after.

I'm waiting for the store to get back to me; they're checking stock.

Pig Pen & Country Duo

What would Pig Pen 5122 & Country Duo 5514 do without each other? They were obviously made to be a joint set, as they compliment perfectly.
