The water parts in other sets issued in 2015 have the same dark colour. I think they switched to this colour a few years ago, because I have other water pieces that fit this one, for instance the smaller water fall from the 5252 indian kids plus animals set:

Having now had a close-up look at this set which I'd previously barely glimpsed at, and encouraged by an enthusiastic Mr Raven (who obviously kept his enthusiasm to himself and didn't post here), we've decided to purchase this set. 

Which shows how useful reviews can be.

This was a set that I was thinking I might be able to wait for... but now after seeing it in the review and the concerns that I had about it now rested... I need 2 of 3!
